Bahrain Grand Prix 2013, Sakhir - Race 4/19

I'd agree with vettel not being as good when not at the front.. Alonso and Hamilton do much better here

Kimi has been exceptional.. Being an Enstone supporter I have to admit I thought it was a mistake initially signing him
I also expected rg to be doing better as often he was faster than Kimi last year

Likewise, especially coming from having done stuff like this:

Looks like the pressure has just ruined him to be honest. He's screwed now, as the moment he crashes near the beginning of a race again, he will be completely jumped on.

Some misinformation in this thread, Pirelli decided to change tyre compounds after the race in Malaysia. Not China.

Also Grosjean will get a new chassis as Lotus try to find the cause of lack of pace.

Confirmed that Kovalainen will have seat time in Free Practice this weekend for Caterham.

Does anyone else think Raikkonen used his influence over the winter to get the car developed just the way he likes it and RG is now playing catchup trying to adapt? Whereas last season the car wasn't developed to benefit one driver in particular afaik.

I've read in a few places that it is a myth that a car would be designed around a driver. They can set up the car towards how they would want it though, race by race.

Yeah this has been a myth that has been around for ages. Teams simply don't design cars to suit a specific driver. With the ban on testing it wouldnt even be possible any more.

Yeah, it's strange with Vettel. He has a reputation for being ultra reliable, and not making many mistakes but I think when he's under pressure he makes an above average number of errors for a top driver.

Can you remind me when he has made mistakes when under pressure?

I'll start you off - Canada 2011.
