Bahrain Grand Prix 2014, Sakhir - Race 3/19

Have you never watched a Bernie interview before? He's comparatively chatty in this one.

I saw one he did back in 2012 in India, in which he spoke quite a lot.
I probably wouldn't call what he did "chatty". Ever since then I've done my best to avoid him, but he caught me by surprise :(

Oh Jesus, could you imagine an F1 run by Ferrari?

Unfortunately yes.
Ferrari has to be one if the most boring self righteous companies out there. Who are big due to their name.

At least McLaren might not have a soul, but they do what they say. Anally clinical about prevision and speed, like the p1.

Get AM or Lambo or some other actually decent super car manufacturers in the sport.

The interview Jake did with him a few years back was brilliant. 1 word answers to every question.

As much as you may not like Bernie, F1 wouldnt exist today without him. And the alternatives are far, far worse. A consortium of teams couldn't decide on where to have lunch, let alone how to run a global sport. And we don't need lawyers with no racing history in them, like Max.

Bernie was needed in the sport, but he should have stepped down I the early 00s. There's other options than just a consortium of teams. You could get another dictator in, that isn't senile, doesn't play favouritism and has some relevance in this day and age with at least some technical knowledge.

Trouble with Bernie is he really doesn't have a clue about the technical side and wants to go back to the glory days if the pre 90s, just with safety. You can't those days are long gone. and it's impossible to go back to such times.

F1 does need a head, just a more sane one.

Unfortunately anyone who fits the bill is already employed within F1 in a team, so would not be able to appear impartial.

Although... I wonder how quickly Ross Brawn will get bored of fishing... ;)

Does anybody else feel that if Ferrari\rb\bernie buy out F1 then it's time for the other teams to start their own series?

Something not governed by the FIA may be an improvement.

Would you like to revise that?

Max raced in the 60s and was one of the founders of March engineering.

That's true, so who the heck was I thinking of? Who's that lawyer bloke rumoured to be replacing Bernie?

There's a lawyer lady who's his right hand woman, Sasha double-barrelled something. The other two I've heard mentioned are the ex-M&S and Sainsbury's CEOs which I don't think are the best idea ever.
