Bahrain Grand Prix 2014, Sakhir - Race 3/19

The best example of this is Alonso.. many people on the paddock.. probably most, say hes the best driver in f1. How many titles has he won in the last 7/8 years?

None.

Why?

Car.

Simple.

And also massive rifts with mclaren. You do need a head on you to win a wdc as well. But the best car is a necessity.

Isn't common opinion that the 2012 McLaren was the best car that year? And in 2010 Vettel never lead the championship until the end of the last race.

He's obviously not dragged a dog of a car to victory, but people's opinion does seem to be blinkered by his dominance in 2011 and the 2nd half of 2013.

True about the mclarens in 2012, but don't forget that they threw so many points away due to bodged pit stops, reliability and strategy errors.

But then Kimi was lucky in 2007 beating Hamilton - swings and roundabouts :)
If anyone was unlucky in 2008 it was Massa.

I'll agree with that. Kimi was lucky in 2007. Alonso should have won that title. Didn't help that both Alonso and Kimi had to adjust to Bridgestones having previously racing Michelins.

Kimi was unlucky with retirements in 2008 but Massa did drive well that year. He probably should have won the championship that year, though Lewis/McLaren did make some mistakes too.

Luca being a tit.

With his secret meeting coming up. Thinking he's the most influential and the sport will die with out Ferrari.

True to say I find him abhorrent, he's like a real life Brick Top.
