Bahrain Grand Prix 2014, Sakhir - Race 3/19

Are sky being paid to keep saying how good these sound, except Brundle :D

Sky are going on about it more than ocuk :)

To be fair, it is all anyone anywhere is talking about. They could hardly ignore it and chat about tyres or something :p.

I'd hardly say the Sky coverage is unniversally pro the new engine sounds. Theres plenty of reserved "there ok" comments, but I've not heard anybody really say they like them.

Ta,

Someone needs to do a mileage tally on all the cars. Merc must be a race or more under the other guys. Qualifying they haven't done many laps, practice they do less laps. And may well give them more advantage latter in the season when reliability comes in to play.

And if one of them dominates, then it'll also be clean cold air during the races as well.

Interesting comment from Lewis' engineer about being aware these could be the tyres he started the race on. Suggesting Merc are so comfortable that they didn't feel the need to push too hard in Q2 and risk a lockup or taking to much life from them.

Pretty ominous, and suggests the Q2 pace is well short of Mercs total pace.

Given that Vettel qualified 11th no matter what, but because of Riccardo's penalty will start the race 10th in all liklihood - does Vettel have to start on the same tyres or can he change them?
