Bahrain Grand Prix 2015, Sakhir - Race 4/19

Well, that was an utter borefest. I turned it over to the touring cars afterwards for the last 3 laps and saw far more action there.

Proper trophies in Bahrain too which is nice.

Rosbeg looking like he's been kicked in the knackers.
Hamilton bouncing around like the energizer bunny

Red Bull down to 3 engines now?

Not sure what that means, every REnault car IIRC was using their third engine this weekend. Meaning after the failures today and the dire performance on a couple of them over the entire weekend(Ver/Kvyat had lack of power all through), they will potentially all be onto their 4th engines for the year in the next race.

Renault are making even Honda look reliable, both Honda's were using the 2nd engine this weekend and might still be using the 2nd engine next race. I'd think at least two Renault cars will be on the 4th in Barcelona.

Damn it missed the race, for some reason i thought it was starting later. Anyone can sum up the race in a few sentences for me thanks.

Hamilton dominated. Rosberg "lost" his brakes, i.e. failed again. Kimi was excellent. Maldonado forgot where the track was early on, then retired because he didn't feel like it anymore. Vettel dropped back due to needing a front wing change. Ricciardo finished the race in style. Everything else was unremarkable really.

Sounds like it was a decent race, will watch the highlights later. Hamilton seems to be unstoppable.

Not this...

Well, that was an utter borefest. I turned it over to the touring cars afterwards for the last 3 laps and saw far more action there.

but this....

The only excitement really was from not quite knowing where Kimi and Rosberg would finish. Even had Vettel not messed up I think they'd have let Kimi past on his strategy, Vettel would have had the same pace as before, been several seconds behind Rosberg at the end.

The racing up and down the grid, some overtakes, but very few over takes in the sweeping corners, very few multiple corner wheel to wheel fights. What, 90% of over takes into the first corner and just not a great amount of action up and down.

Feel a little like most cars should have been on three stoppers burning around, though I think fuel also precluded that kind of pace. Again this is why we should have a varying fuel limit. 5-10kg more at a track that is close to the limit like here, 5-10kg less elsewhere like Monaco.

If everyone was on a 3 stop burning around it would have been better action everywhere. Williams... again with crap tire wear but attempting less stops than they should have done and again ruining their race doing that. Pitting Massa in the mid 20's for the second time then trying to run to the end... moronic. Getting more and more disappointed with Williams.
