I was reading one of the forums and there was a lot of threads about how PC games have gone all woke and such crap. So I picked a coloured female lesbian paladin defender of justice and righter of social wrongs as my character.
Steam forums are absolutely full of trolls so don't take most of what is being said seriously.
I haven't got past where I was in early access yet but I have handled some situations slightly differently which was nice. "Find your belongings" is bugged out for me which is a little annoying and it feels like a bug that should have been picked up in general testing.
I've noticed some late graphical pop in even on my system but it is microseconds (usually during a dialogue where the camera switches or a cinematic dialogue, very brief but I'm quite sensitive to this stuff). I don't know if it was due to the length of time I had been playing though (others have mentioned performance degradation over time).
I was pleased to discover you don't have to rest to swap companions, just go to camp. This was really getting to me as I didn't want issues to occur with time limited events requiring specific characters on your team.
Someone mentioned there are newer DLSS files you can plop into your game directory if people are wanting more performance, I'm maxed out at 120fps @4k all the time. Interestingly the game chooses 4096x2160 for me instead of 3840x2160 =/
Carry weight seems to be improved, I was really struggling in EA, maybe there are less items?
I had to create my character twice because I completely missed the fact I had to click the icons on the left to modify class etc... haha too much excitement, then out of frustration on my second go I forgot to distribute ability points! Thankfully we get to redistribute later in the game from what I've read.
I haven't left the druid bit yet but already my male companions seem to be coming onto me... I don't have a problem with LGBT but I just found it a bit annoying when all I'm trying to do is adventure.
