Baldur's Gate 3

Been playing some 5e recently and really enjoying it, games like this really help with understanding how things work even if they have to take some short cuts so I'll be picking it up within the first week of EA.

Its limited on classes at the moment (7 of 12 I think) and only 25 hours of play (more than most games) but that should be plenty to get me into it.

I have the 5e player's handbook I have been meaning to read but never got chance. I will likely pickup BG3 this week too and just enjoy what it is right now.

Same here!

Can't wait, but I don't want to play but have to stop before the story is complete

I was going to be the same but then I thought to myself, ok EA is 25 hours estimated, so I get EA, do the 25 hours...that lasts me 1 month, until early/mid November, then AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk come out, I play through AC Valhalla and play through Cyberpunk and by the time I've done those I can return to Baldurs Gate 3. Thats my plan ! :)

That sounds like watching the first act of a blockbuster film but then leaving the cinema before the middle of the film and going to another one to watch two other major films and then hanging around to be let back in to the first cinema months later. I admire the commitment but it sounds like a … chunky way to enjoy what's available. Or rather when it's available.

Regardless, enjoy it!

I loved the Baldurs Gate series way back when!

I remember my Monk build in BG2 - totally OP and impossible to kill, could pretty much wipe out everyone in a couple of punches by end game

Good times - cant wait to get back into that world again

I consider it more like watching the first season of The Expanse (before the second season was released), then watching another show for a couple of seasons until the 2nd season of The Expanse is released and then returning to The Expanse :)

I dont tend to wait until all the seasons of a tv show are available before watching it, I'm happy to watch the first 25 hour long season of Baldurs Gate 3 and then continue when the other seasons are ready

Fence post firmly wedged up my rear about whether or not to buy this immediately or leave it til after early access. I trust Larian because they proved themselves a number of times in the past, I just don't want to have heaps of **** added to parts of the game I already passed, although looking at some stuff now it seems the game cuts short in its present state

TBH sounds like my plan :p though throwing in spellforce in between this and AC valhalla / Cyberpunk. Later two saving for when I get a new GPU for HTPC to enjoy those games in all their glory!
