Baldur's Gate 3

Well this is now royally screwed.

Wont let me do anything now due to a pending transaction, but I cannot go to that transaction to do anything with it. Probably will need to wait for the transaction to fail and then go from there.

It seems I have two options. Wait up to 72 hours for payment to go through and then it may appear, or I can cancel the payment attempt and tray again which might double charge...

I cancelled mine...tried again but instead of using Paypal , I used a card this time round...went through successfully :D

After the kerfuffle over actually getting the payment to work, at least the Steam speeds are decent today. 10mins left to go and then I can play

Initial impressions are good, although the game engine is quite clearly Divinity-esque, the game itself plays much more like D&D in terms of functionality and freedom of what you can do.

From the hour and a half I have played, I would concur with that.

However, unless I am just seriously unlucky, I have never managed to win a roll yet. Even one that was for a 4! I think I have needed to roll 8-10 times maybe, lost each and every one of them!

Shall pick this up tomorrow when I can play more.

You guys enjoying this? is it ( as mack would say) worth a buy??? lol

Im loving it so far, small things, like the screen being darker in dark places depending upon which character you have selected and how good their darkvision skills are etc. Just little bits like that which set it apart from Divinity Original Sin. Its got some glitches and bugs that I've already encountered but to be expected with early access. Voice acting is very good so far and the voiced DM narrator really enhances the experience

I was really hoping they implemented some kind of real time combat so you wouldn't be forced into the Divinity-esque turn based battles. Doesn't look like that option exists, or at least I haven't found it.

The guys who enjoyed Divinity 2 will love this.

Although it has mod support, I dont think anyone will come up with a realtime mod, I suspect that would be too much of an overhaul to the engine to be possible in a mod. You're right though, I loved Divinity 2 and am really loving this too :)
