Bands you wish were better known

Does It Offend You, Yeah?... I don't think they get the exposure they deserve.

Also, A guy/band that I've prob only seen twice in the past 3-4 years, Gideon Conn. His music pretty eccentric, but he always gets the crowd going. He lives in Manchester, so if anyone up that way ever gets the chance to see him play, I would highly reccomend going.

David Ford

for me easily one of the best singer song writers currently recording in this country. Former front man of Easyworld which was a good start but his three solo albums are sublime.

Just to add to the feeder debate, some of their early work is amazing, Polythene is still one of my all time favourite albums for tracks like High, Perfect Day, Radiation etc. I thought yesterday went to soon was a really good solid follow up and was hoping for big things, then came Echo Park a seriously disapointing and seemingly deliberate move into comercialisation thankfully the recent material seems to be moving back towards their roots.

They've got a track on Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit - it's class.

For me, it would have to be mash-up producers like Girl Talk and E-603. I can't get over how great some of the stuff they produce is. I'll post some youtubes when I get home.

Live are an American band. When throwing copper was released they were huge in America and I remeber the single I alone doing well over here as well. The Single When dolphins cry did well too.
Shame they arn't as well known over here.

A mate of mine was really into them about 15 years ago. I remember some of their stuff being very good.

John Frusciante is a good shout.

I'm always going to say Immortal Technique, one of if not my favourite artist, his second album Revolutionary Volume II is a piece of art, amazing lyrically.

I like that he's not well known, but wish more people could appreciate his immense talent.

Devin Townsend Band.

Varied music but can all be classified as progressive metal, they have some heavy rockers and some calm numbers. I know that for progressive metal fans theyre well known, but I think they have some songs that anyone could enjoy.
