BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

well just rang up OCuk to see progress of my replacement and was told that the system was down yesterday so it will get processed today and hopefully delivered tomorrow :(

It appears on RMA history that they have not received it but looking at the tracking number it has been delivered. Is this the same for you? Will give OcUK a call at 4 if it hasn't arrived by then.

If i had an RMA number i would know better. OCuk never issued me with one and i never asked for one.

I rang up (Monday),
talked to tech support,
they said they would pick it up next day,
picked up next day (Tuesday),
and now just waiting...

RMA number is important, otherwise it'll just sit in the warehouse...might even get lost or just held up (not at a dig at OC, but any computer company) or even returned to you.

my RMA history says not delivered they must have a problem with their system
it has been like this for 2 days.

i guess they not gonna send a replacment until their system is back on again

no 24" for the week end

bad luck

Did you write RMA number on the box? If not a returned item wouldn't be entered in the system. Did you leave any details on/inside the box where it's come from, account/order number and fault?

Nope :(
but im assuming City Link will pass over an invoice (or something) to OCuk as to where they picked it up from.....

I never was told of my RMA number or leaving info on the box. Just thought it would be a straight pick up and deliver.
Im sure it all will turn out alright.

I confirmed this with OcUK and CL, no RMA or address was needed. I did leave an undelivered address on the box and got a consignment number when it was collected.

oh dear...I've worked in a warehouse before..you have to hope the warehouse people chase up on it, otherwise it'll just be slung on a shelf and forgotten. Depends on the warehouse throughput, a little shop you'll be ok...but a larger corporation would throw lost items in the skip.

just received 2 emails
1: they received the screen
2: RMA accepted, they gave me an order number, and said that the item will be sent as soon as possible.
hopefully today, fingers crossed

dont wanna spend the weekend with my old 19".

Out of curisoity then, how would OCuk know where its come from?
Im guessing City Link would tag where its come from....?

Hopefully going by serial number, that's if the SN is recorded in the system. Yeah if no return address is on the box, no way of finding out, unless OC go back to City Link with the tracking number....another delay.

Reason why RMA exists.

I would always put an RMA number on the box, just in case. It is used to assist in the tracking process and for the accepting shop to know that it is a returned item that has been authorised for return.

I'm sure OCUK will work it out though.

Interesting.
My RMA status has changed to:

STATUS: This item's processing is finished.
ACTION: Replaced

So looks like they didnt need to have RMA or address on box. City Link must have recorded where they were picked up from and the information passed on to OCuk (im sure City Link would have been working overtime collecting all these TN panels anyway).

Hi

You can read the model number of the panel directly in the service/hidden menu of the MB24W:
just press buttons "menu" and "+" simultaneously (if you can't, keep pressing "menu" then press "+").

M240UW01 (V0/V3) = MVA panel
M240UW04 = TN panel

MB24W comes from Nits Technology, www.nits.com.tw

You can find more infos about the MB24W clones (Nitstek, DGM, Iolair, Yuraku, Novita, IISonic, Starlogic...) in this thread of a french forum:

http://forum.hardware.fr/hfr/HardwarePeripheriques/Ecrans/iolair-clones-unique-sujet_40947_1.htm

and this a pdf describing the V3 panel:
http://www.gvtcn.com/images/pdf/p/M240UW01V3.pdf

My model number in the screen OSD menu is....

LG-LM240WU3-TLA1

?

I'm sure its a TN, glossy screen (not just the frame)....

Viewing angles left to right are very good and don't go inverted, but viewing angl looking from below is TERRIBLE....

Have I got a TN\VA panel......?

Thanks, :)
