anyone whos had a tn and a va panel, are the boxes different or the same?

if there the same, thats why so many are being sent out wrongly :(.

might be ocuk reverse christmas time soon, bulk unwrap, test and rewrap :p
 
There has got to be more than just 50 contaminated! How on earth can they be sending out TN as replacements!

This isnt doing them any favours....
 
A 22" LCD will be a TN panel too, which are 6bit and have poor viewing angels. *VA which was what I should have got is 8bit and should have very good viewing angels.
 
Just called for another collection on Monday. The guy on the phone said 100% that it will be a VA panel to replace it.

Shame as this panel appears to not have any dead pixels.

How can he guarantee this? Surely, he is not going to be the one who physically goes to the warehouse and opens up the box to confirm TN or VA? It'll be left upto the guys in the warehouse to pick the appropriate monitor and chances are (if the last week or so is anything to go by), they wont check the monitor before sending it out.
 
Is this -OcUK Value L2442WD-TN 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor nowhere near as good as the VA panel? Only its £190 b grade, which is quite a good price!
 
All TN stock has been removed, although Gibbo did say this Last week...

I've been assured by "Tom" on the helpdesk that the issue with stock is now resolved and the correct panel will be sent out. He said they have a lot of webnotes to respond to, but that mine would be looked at and responded to by end of day today (submitted last night).

He also said that the replacement would be sent out "on the same day" as mine is picked up. This means I will be without a monitor for one day.
 
I had Tom too, he set my RMA as refund. Called back again and got a different guy (didn't catch his name) who changed it to replace. Collection will be on Monday for Wednesday/Thursday replace. Interestingly I received an RMA number this time.

Also confirmed again 100% no contamination.

If this happens, it will be a first. Do let us know if this turns out to be true or not.
 
I don't get that - I was specifically told replacement would be dispatched "on the same day" as collection. And that I would have the replacement the day following collection.

Like I said in my above post. It hasnt happened yet and it wouldve been the first time that this would have happened if it had been seen through. OCUK donot do same day replacements. No one in this thread has reported such a thing. Wait and see what happens.
