BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

So then why are people still receiving TN panels, today?

If this happens, it will be a first. Do let us know if this turns out to be true or not.

Unfortunately not. I called again as didnt want to risk the webnote not being replied to today. Item will be collected Mon, delivered Tues to OcUK. Replacement sent out Tues and delivered on Wed. That's not too bad to be fair.

Initially, I was being told that Id have to have a refund and order a replacement. When I mentioned others on the forums were getting replacements and that Id have to pay an increased price if I got a refund, he then put it in as a replacement. Not sure why that was said ... ... Maybe OcUk regret selling at the lower price now with all of the replacements having to be sent out. I feel sorry for them actually, as to be fair this isn't actually their fault, but rather the manufacturers.

I thought the same. The amount of money being lost on replacing these when its not our or OcUK's fault. I expect the staff were told to hold off from doing collections if they can. Although if asked must pay for collection?

the cheapo b grade tft might be good for a second display, or if u know you dont want/need wide viewing angles, plus the same money would buy you a good 1680x1050 panel ;)

whats this monitor like for gaming?

and assuming you could afford it would you always buy one of these over the following: Acer243W benQ G2400W and Dell E248WFP ? (with gaming in mind)

im not sure what one to get

i got another glossy TN panel.....
I've lost the will to live. Going to bite the bullet and just keep it because i just cant be bothered sending it back again !

I would push for a refund of the difference between the TN panel and VA panel, bearing in mind that you have been through the process of returning/exchanging the monitor on multiple occassions. Tell them that its unfair for you to have to pay a higher price, even though on their website, the item that you been given, is cheaper.

EDIT: My Screens an LG-LM240WU3-TLA1 according to the OSD

you could ask them to check the panel before they ship the rma, i dont think its wrong to ask that as you've had several wrong panels.

mr bios, the dell's all seem to have poor lag/delay, so id pick this one for sure, dunno about the other one :)

cheers, thats lucky that ticks off the most expensive ones in the list i can afford lol, just need to know about the acer + benQs compared to this one now then

call me fussy but one thing putting me off getting this is the fact i find it ugly lol

this is the same for me! backlight bleed and another TN panel. Going to RMA it later next week and hope for a PVA panel.

I must admit, this monitor has me tempted. Seems really good value for money. Anyone had bad luck with dead/stuck pixels and had more than one or is the quality control good with these panels? TIA.
