My Yuraku was waiting for me when i got home from work, menu+ gives me AU-M240UW01-V3, no dead pixels - for a shade under £200 I'm Ecstatic :)
But yeah, black tape is great, that power light is blinding! I used some masking tape, which i coloured over with black marker, and get a very slight bit of blue light bleeding through, just enough to tell if it's powered.

They're not guaranteed VA panels but nobody with a Yuraku has reported a TN panel, so they are as good as guaranteed. They also feature HDCP which the OCUK ones don't, as well as being about £65 cheaper.

I noticed ******** (the forum, does that site count as a competitor on here??) has a link to a certain site which features a similar monitor, is that a Yuraku??

How big a mistake have i just made guys?

I already have a DGM from here that i got for about 240 or so a couple months ago and its been fine. I have been wanting dual monitors for a while so just bit the bullet and ordered another at a ridiculous price of £270.

I have since been browsing the forums, didnt have a chance to do that first as i was anxious to get order in for next day delivery.

Now seems people have had endless problems with the DGM monitors of late, and to top it off there is another version of *** monitor with HDCP that would have cost me £70 less :(

Am i likely to have major problems with the DGM or has that stuff been resolved? also how big of a deal is HDCP as surely a program like vlc would be able to just play it in 1080p anyway no?
 
I guess what i really want to know is have i made a big enough mistake to warrant using my 7 day return and ordering this yukaru or whatever it was called. thing is i am quite funny about things matching and that appears to have a silver border from pics i seen.

Finally, anyone found any good stands that will work for these monitors as could do with them being a bit higher.
 
I emailed someone selling the Yuraku and they could not state if they where all VA panels and did say that most they had where in fact TN!

Also by the time i went to order they had sold out on the cheaper ones and now only sell them for £230ish.

I would rather get one from OCUK that will guarantee it to be a VA
