BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Well i will give them a day or so then i'll have to buy a new one else where as i cannot afford £300 for a £200 monitor lols.

And again i'm not anti-OcUK as have brought over £1000 worth of pc items this week for a new pc lols

Yes you should care and no there is not still an issue from ocuk. They've said a tiny minority are slipping through the net, but if this happens they'll swap it for a VA for you.

Well i have just ordered one of the b grade monitors.
I have got it as a spare monitor in case any go, and can also be use as one i can move about etc.
For a little over £121 delivered total bargain if it is a tn or not.

I had a TN originally from a competitor and it wasn't THAT bad at all, the dead pixels annoyed me the most.

Overly bright, colours are awful, brightness level is shocking turn it down to soften the glow and blacks take over deepening colours way too much.

There doesn't seem to be a happy medium because of the backlight.

Banding is clearly visible on large blocks of colour.

Sat 1-3 feet from monitor you can clearly see the light and colour changes across the screen from edge to edge, 24" is too big for the panel the quality isn't there.

Sidy-by-side my current 17" Sony TN it looks poor, even after configuring and tweaking, nowhere near as good and the Sony is years old.

So I completely disagree with you. :)

Went from a TN to a VA within 2 days and didn't notice much aside from the viewing angles, I didn't test it with gradients though. ;)

since those are all the returned ones (right?), I'd all but garauntee it'll be a TN panel.

Doubtful all the TN panels were returned by OcUK to DGM. I have good word that the B grade panels are replacements from DGM.

I have just recieved my B grade monitor

The box wasn't tatty and the monitor looks brand new. I will be setting it up later on today and will update you all with panel info etc etc.

Ok my B Grade is

AU M24OUW01-V0

Which I believe is a VA panel. No dead pixels.

My only issues with the panel is the bezel is a bit marked and the panel is a tad dirty (dust), the DVI port on the monitor is missing standoffs to screw the DVI cable in but that isn't a massive concern since a DVI sits in tight enough anyway

As it happens I went from the Samsung 22" I wouldn't have otherwise bought a 24" but for 135 I couldn't resist.

Nice to have a bigger resolution :)
