BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Im wondering if this buzzing noise is enough grounds to replace the monitor? Most of the time my monitor is on anyway, it is faint but if my pc off and stay dead slient you would be able to pick it up ever so slightly.

Strange, you are right it's gone, maybe they've completely run out and will add it back up when the next shipment arrives.

Just got off the phone about the buzzing noise. Theyre going to pick up the panel and refund me, at the same time I have bought another panel (last one!)

Top job OCUK :) Thanks for your help.

Well it's a Samsung S-PVA according to the list, slightly slower panel according to the specs, but nothing you'd notice.

How does the picture quality look? Same as your last one?

It actually looks much better I have to say! The colours look more contrasted and not as "ghosty or white"
Yea saw this is 8ms vs 6ms of the AUO.

Plus... the viewing angles on this are quite a bit better I have to say!!

It's nothing you would notice. I wouldn't worry about it if the image quality is better.

Hi Speed,

Thanks for the comment. I thought I couldve sworn that I noticed some lag.
Either that or I must be paranoid.

I have to say the panels colour is purely phenomenal.

2. When the unit is turned off. I.e. not standby or anything, can you guys hear a faint hissing noise coming from the back of the unit?

I'm getting this as well, though I'm also getting an electric crackle noise as well when it's been sitting in 'off' mode (but on at the mains) for a while - it's sometimes loud enough to head a few metres away.
Has me concerned it's going to burn down my house! so I'll need to give OC a call about it.

This one is a replacement I received last week after a fault in my last one.

Its the in-built speakers, adjust volume to 0 & problem solved :)

Yeah didn't think that was it, I have two panels, one does it and one doesn't. They are both set to default Volume levels.
