BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Unfortuantely, I'm starting to experience the same problem again, It was only just repaired 2 weeks ago. I'm going to see how it goes, its only happened twice since then, whereas before it was 4-5 times a day

Reading the front page it sounded like a great screen. Then I skipped 170 pages and read about the many returns and problems. Glad I stuck with my Dell

Rang them up, and last time they just replaced a socket, that took 2 weeks. It's going off again on monday. I wish they cud just give me my £200 back!!! i wud get a new 3d monitor!

From my own experience it seems to be some kind of a over heating problem, mine is fine for the first hour or so then after that the problem keeps occurring every minute or so till I let it cool down again, I sent them an email on thurs but still waiting for a response so might ring them on monday. I eventually got a receipt from ocuk... next problem is I no longer have the box for posting it to them :(

If its a heating problem, have you tried running a table fan behind the monitor, just to see if it cures the problem? If it does, maybe you could fit a 12v van to it and sort the problem out, once and for all, yourself.

Just venting some anger here. But its been 2 weeks now (11 working days) since DGM received my monitor for its SECOND repair. Thats over their stated 7-10 working days. Rang them up and the guy was not very helpful at all. Just say it was still with the engineer. Gave me no estimate of when it would be availible and why it's late. I'm going on holiday soon and its bad enough ive not had a monitor for the past 4 out of 5 weeks.
I'm just starting to prey they don't fix it again and i'll see if i can ask for my £200 quid back!!

Shame to see so many of these go wrong. DGM always seemed a bit wierd regarding warranties. Their website never accepted the scratch off code for mine, and they never replied to my enquiry.

Apart from the, my PVA is going strong as was great for the price. Getting upgraditis now though.

I'd like to thank this thread.

Ya see, I didn't even realise my Yuraku (same/sister brand of DGM) had a 3 year warranty, and since it smoked up 3 weeks ago I've being think about buying a replacement.

Now I'll just RMA it.

Thanks all for reminding me of the warranty!!

PS* : Have people being going directly to DGM (or in my case Yuraku) to sort out a repair / replacement, or have you gone through the retailer?? (not OCUk in my case :( ).

They have got back to me, they have ordered a part and are waiting for delivery :(

Mine was in the same time as yours and got told the part delivery story too but I didn't mind too much as long as it got fixed... which didn't happen
Today is the first I've used it for a long period and I realized it's still broken and still displaying the black screen with lines problem, gotta love dgm  How is your new repaired monitor going?

Took a picture of the image persistence/burn-in that my PVA one has developed.

It mainly effects the top-left corner, but also is apparent on other areas of the screen. It gets more noticeable after having being on for a few hours.

Finally thinking about getting something to replace it, but really can't decide between the Dell U2410 and the HP ZR24w.

hey guys,

I want to connect a xbox to my monitor.

Do I just need a xbox vga cable? How do i connect the sound?

Thanks

Use the official VGA cable. As for sound, it's got the white / red audio connections, and I think at the back of the connector which plugs in the console there's also a digital port.

Mine had loads of grpahics corruption this afternoon. I thought it was my 5870 but I plugged my old 22" Iiyama in and it was all good and no corruption at all.

IS my DGM monitor busted?

Gonna plug it back in tonight and see if it still works :(

I love the VA panel though, this TN panel on the iiyama is pants.

^ I'd try the monitor on a different system if you really want to identify if it's a monitor fault.

My DGM VA panel's still going strong! *touch wood

However I'm thinking upgrading to a 3007WFP ;p

I have found exactly the same thing has happened with my 24" DGM monitor, it looks like the screen melts. I thought it was my graphics card too, but I used it on another machine and the same thing happened. The 24" DGM monitor has a 3 year warranty though. So you could perhaps get it repaired for free.

All the best,
Ash

This what you are getting?

For me it tends to start on dark colours, usually very small and get worse and larger. It doesn't happen very often, but it appears using the reset option in the menu can trigger it. Tried it on many different PCs and with different cables so it is definately the monitor at fault. Going to try and get it approved for a repair today.
