BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

mines devloped that browny sort of wash now :(, started at the top left, and has progressed down that side, it does have a dark line on the right aswell.

from reading the other comments, im guessing the best course for action is not to send it off to repair?

I think that it is pretty clear that if the monitor requires to have its entire panel swapped out, that there is 0 chance of this happening.

If however, the panel doesnt need to be replaced and the fault is merely on a circuitboard, for example, then it can be fixed.

Do let us know how you get on with OCUK. It should be interesting to see how they deal with a product which was purchased over a year ago.

"we are only able to offer you the L-2362WD from DGM. this is the comparitive replacement for this part that we are able to offer."

That's from OcUK - Complaints.
*shrug*

Can't you ask them to give you a 24" monitor?

In fairness to OCUK, as the PVA 24" no longer exists, they can't give you an identical replacement, so what they should be aiming for is a "like-for-like" replacement.

I don't expect "identical" but a L-2362WD.. that's insulting.
But I shall continue to pursue the matter and hope dealings with the small claims court can be avoided!

Out of OCUK's current range of monitors, which monitor do you feel would be an acceptable exhange?

The Dell Ultrasharp U2311H I would consider fit for purpose.
But oh well.. reimbursement is an option.

Oh and for an update - The OcUK returns manager Chris Montgomey "has taken annual leave for two weeks ".

March 18 - present - The wait continues!

I've noticed lately that my screen kinda jumps every once in a while. If Im sat down for the evening I would say it probably jumps around 4 or 5 times an evening. Has this happened to anyone?
(Tempted to probably just plug in the DVI into my other 5770 (have two in crossfire).

I've had mine for 2.5 years. No problems yet.

Though, in terms of reliability, it pales into insignificance when compared to my (main) Sony CRT monitor, which stays on for around 15 hours/day. I bought it in 2000, so its been going strong for 10 years. Now that's reliability.

Mine has stopped working a couple of times now and leaves me with a black screen with some artifacts on. Turning it off for an hour sorts it out though. I really want it to last me until OLED screens hit the market but I can see this being a few years off still.
