BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

If anyone never got it at the cheaper price then thats there own fault not OCUK's.

I for one was tempted but was willing to pay £30 more not to be a guineepig, so now I read all the reviews over days and make a decision and mines has zero to do with cash but fact I have a very high end 22" CRT and Game.

What about if you used the monitor using DVI with the 360 and VGA for PC, would it still be as good?

They can sell an item at any price they feel fit within legal limits and you can see fit to buy it or not.

Gibbo even extended it till Monday Midday.

Like i stated i was not aware of the weekend only offer as i have never been..... This week only is the only thing i really know about. Plenty of people check on a wednesday to make sure they're not missing out. Not the weekend.

Basically OCUK bought a load of unkown monitors shipped them out cheap. Found they were better than expected and put the price a huge amount after the this weekend only shenanigans. As i said - good buisness practice but not when your customers know...

It aint anyones fault but yours if you were busy doing other stuff to check the site or forum.

Now get over it and move on and dig deep in your pocket or do without and Gibbo already stated before anyone even ordered 1 that the price would be going up after the weekend, then he gracefully extended as stated many times.

Do you complain if your local furniture stores January sale ends before Mid Febuary ?.

I normally only look at the This Week Only offers but I do look on the site occasionally and it was up on the forum plain as day

I thought this was the monitors discussion section not the OCUK appreciation society.....

Ok... Let me slow this down a little. Im only saying that some of us have been loyal to ocuk for years and have missed this deal because it came completely out of the blue! A this week only would have been far more appropriate.

Now as i said before. Take it easy.

Sums it up to be honest.

They even said in advance that the price would go up after the weekend.

I can understand that people are annoyed about the increase, but it's not as if it's unexpected or even unfair, so I don't see what there is to complain about.

If it goes down to £199 + VAT tomorrow then I suspect my poor credit card will take a slight beating.

For the record, my current second monitor is a 17" Iiyama, and I still consider the £350 I paid for that to be bloody good value for money, considering how long it's lasted. I certainly won't throw it away or anything...

If everyone went out buying things because of the cheap price... then the world would be full of crap!

Therefore people wait for reviews, to see if the product is good.

Usually if a product so good is so cheap it is a pile of poop. Fair enough Gibbo posted his own review and said it was excellent for browsing the net, but the question he could answer was about HDCP and ghosting in games.

Maybe for somebody like yourself... £30 more after the weekend maybe no big deal. But to some of us folks who arent as well off, we have to think ahead and realise Christmas is 3 weeks away and we arent all on £30k wages.

£30 is 3 DVD's for my daughter and some perfume for my girlfriend.

Just be calm and take it easy. He was just mearly saying the offer should have lasted longer due to no reviews. If the price went back to what it was over the weekend OcUK would sell out ASAP.
 
Finally got to have a play with mine, its so amazing, I spent the first 5 mins staring at it open mouthed.

Played a couple of 1080p films and it looks great.

Anyone afraid of jumping from a good crt, dont be afraid and jump right in!

Need to sort that blue led though, could do with checking for dead pixels, cant see any at the mo.

Plent of pics and good reviews already posted.
 
To be honest, im not complaining at all. I've read through this entire thread, very impressed with the reviews and tech specs of this monitor and am more than happy to pay the extra that has been added on since Monday.

Its just that my parents have agreed to buy this for me as my Christmas pressie, so any discount all will be of benefit for them, not for me.

HEY, I aint the one moaning, its not his or your GodGiven right to get it at the cheaper price days after deals over.

What it to me or OCUK if its DVD's or Perfume for your wife, nothing is free.

I want reviews also and stated I am willing to pay £30 more missing the deal and not being a Guineepig.

Some of you here would moan if it was FREE.
