BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Hi mate, Yes i've installed Windows Vista, and i'm on the desktop right now. Am using the VGA cable like Tonys suggested, and it's a perfect fit, plus the auto button works.

But why oh why, when connected via Dvi doesn't the Auto adjust button work?

I'm using the machine for gaming at high resolutions.

Am I the only persos who found this problem? Cheers for your help guys.

Oh... doh!
What are those bromsgrove courier doodas got to do with it? Yer using them to send yer panel back?

I'm not, no, but apparently City Link are, I tracked it's arrival via the city link webby, yet these guys came. :O

But why oh why, when connected via Dvi doesn't the Auto adjust button work?

My Viewsonic doesn't do it over DVI either, it must be a DVI thing.

I know I banged on this before, but if anyone could post a picture of this panel with a white clear background. Id be interested to see if there is any shadowing on other panels.

I dont think Im getting any, or whether my eyes are playing games on me, but I just wanted to double check.

This was the first time I've ever used DVI-D and I haven't had any problems with it. When my monitor arrived, I pulled out the VGA cable from my 7800 GT and plugged the DVI-D one in and it all worked fine, no settings changed (apart from setting res to 1920 x 1200) auto-sync and everything, I'm surprised people have had some many issues with it, I can only think it must be related to specific hardware/software/drivers installed.

Would someone be kind enough to post the width and height of the actual viewable area of the screen itself, just so I can size it up in my head?

Many thanks :)

well I have been mulling over getting a 24" or 20" Dell widesceen but was always put off by the cost of the 24" and the lack of size on the 20". Now it appears I am going to get the best of both worlds. Order placed and eagerly awaiting my 1st TFT. :D
