Why does scratches indicate anything other than they were missed during QC inspection at the factory ? AFAIK there's no evidence at all that OC are sending out returned monitors as new, there are a couple of people who have posted saying that they have found scratches on the casings but that's it ?

Have I missed something

Never said that OCUK was sending out returned montors i was asking if they where and waiting for a response from Gibbo ifnot then it must be Digimate quality control as you suggested. The Reason i'm asking is that i have had 3 other items in the past from OCUk that had been used before i got them. :(

Just recieved it, got it setup using VGA, screen doesn't seem as sharp as my Sony X-Black..

was you using the DVI on the X-Black and are your viewing angles any different than before ?

Nah was using VGA thru a KVM aswell tho(that might make a differance) Can't really notice any differance on the viewing angles.

Not sure how iam going to set it all up yet, got X2 PC's I want to use the main PC I want to have dual screen, not bothered about the other one, and Iam using a single KB for both PC's, via the KVM and X2 usb wireless mice. Didnt want to get X2 KB's. Lack off space.

Odd wonder why it's not so clear ?

The DGM is supposed to hav a VA panel so you should be able to swing around to the left or right and still be able to see the screen without picture deterioration over a standard LCD screen.

It is clear, just doesnt seem to be as sharp. Will have a hunt back thru the thread to find how people have set there colours up.

I have just tried to log my fault. It's NOT an onsite swap. They collect the monitor for repair. So who knows how long you might be without it for :(

Going to have to send it back. Not ideal at all.

:(

My res is 1600 x 1200, looking here http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/widescreen.htm it should be 1920 x 1200 using an old X700Pro 256MB which might be why. Had it in for testing purposes, will try my X1950Pro.

Because no disrespect to OCUK, but they have been known to do this before. As have some other retailers.

It Does ;)

- 6ms Response Time
- 500 cd/m2 Brightness
- Viewing Angle (H/V): 180°/ 180° (VA Panel)
- One Digital Input (Supplied with DVI Cable)
- One Analogue Input (Supplied with Analogue Cable)
- Supplied with both Analogue and DVI cables

- Warranty : 3 year on-site warranty supplied by Manufacturer (Call DGM direct for all support and RMA issues on 0871 2508000)

After reading the above, this may need changing. Unless on-site warranty covers pick up and repair, which it could do.

I think it should be listed as 3 year collect and repair tbh. I know that's what other people use. Onsite suggests the repair is done onsite ie a swapout. If it was a desktop PC onsite would assume a person comes out to fix it. Not a return to base.

It's not onsite and it's not return to base.

not really "on-site" if they have to take it away for repair.

on-site to me entails sorting it out their and then at your place of residence not at some factory the other side of the country/planet.
