BARGAIN - OcUK 24" with DVI (*VA Panel) for £179.99+VAT (This Week Only Deal!!)

Hehe... not the best source (apple trailers) but I made a quick mouseover, there's definitely a bit more detail in the 1080p which is more noticeable in motion. (Couldn't get the exact same frame).

Let me know if it doesn't work :p

There is ever so slightly more detail/clarity with 1080p. However, in a blind test, would you be able to tell the difference, without having the luxury to pause the move footage, focus on small parts of the screen and start analysing? And over what distance - 1.5', 4', 6'?

I can tell the difference when watching from 3-4' away, further and I can't (but then I do need new glasses).

On a freeze frame, doing the mouse over thing.

What if 2, 5 minute clips were shown - 1080p and 720p. You didnt know which was which. There will be no freeze framing or side by side comparing. You watch one after the other. Would you be able to tell which was which, if your life depended upon it? Or would you 'pass'?

Be honest.

Ok, My 2007WFP is now on the bay, I cannot wait til payday so as soon as this shifts I'm ordering the 24" - decided 1920x1200 is plenty for watching tv on as well as working on!

Mine arrived at 1pm today, setup was straightforward using DVI, the actual stand (on mine anyway) is fine, it sits on a large mahogany desk, and there is no movement of it whatsoever.

No dead pixels, the colours only needed slight adjustment via CCC (saturation setting)...so all in all I must say I am very pleased with it...only vexed I didn't move quicker and get the weekend special price that was run when it was first listed on Overclockers, but in saying that at a price of £221.99 + VAT it is still great value for money!

Gibbo, you certainly picked a winner here I reckon...cheers! :)

I,ve been messing about with the colour settings and at the moment i quit like the standard 9300k setting even though when you first see it the screen has a blue tint but once you get used to it the colours seem to have a better contrast to me.
