I see that there is a hole in the top of the monitor and the manual says "Optional optical sensor"

What ever that is ?

I think that sensor has something to do with dynamic contrast which I don't think these monitors have.

Its a sensor that auto controls brightness according to the amount of light in the room - not available on this model.

Also I don't know if this has been said but regarding the screen not being available for selection on the registration page - I rang DGM and they said it should be on by the end of this week.

Any chance of these coming down in price again anytime soon (before January) as I'm looking at a 22/24 with my Christmas money, wondering if it's worth hanging on as I'm probably getting a GTX aswell which will exceed more at higher resolutions obviously.
