The unemployed today have large TVs, sky and iPhone 5s.... And in general don't have the slightest clue about what hardwork and motivation is
She screwed over the lazy, who think they deserve something for nothing.... I got to to start my working career after thatcher, and have done just great through hard work and sweat

There is a difference between not showing respect and being deliberately rude and offensive. Surely you can see that?
To be honest it doesn't bother me either way, however if you really do feel the need to be hateful and disrespectful to an old woman that has just died then it certainly says a lot about you and little of it positive.
BBC said:"David Miliband, Labour MP for South Shields, who recently announced he was to step down, tweeted how the former UK PM "proved that ideas and politics matter. She inspired me to join the Labour Party and many to join the Conservative Party. I wish her family the best.""
BBC said:1631:The real tragedy is that while she may be dead herself her ideas are still alive and well in the form of the ConDem coalition and New Labour," says Dave Nellist, Labour MP for Coventry South West between 1983 and 1992 and now a Socialist Party spokesman.."
Yes, more hate inspiring politicians please.
Vampyre is on point there.
Interesting point.
Do you (or anyone else) remember the episode of Spitting Image just after John Major announced his first cabinet? All of them were so dull and forgetful that Spitting Image made a sketch out of it. The only one I can remember though was "Norman Lamont, with the yoghurt pot".
Just been reading some figures, and in the last year of full operation, British coal made a loss of £485million.
When you can buy better quality coal from overseas at a fraction of the cost how can anyone begrudge her for taking that option and thus saving the economy?
And lets not forget, the National Union of Mineworkers had held the country to ransom for too long; threatening to strike every time they did not get their way.
Good riddance to the mines!
Killing off heavy industry and turning the UK into a service based economy was the biggest blunder.
Gave FAR TOO MUCH power to the banks and financial business in London.....and look how that turned out!
If it wasn't inside the M25 it wasn't a priority to her
A little known fact for her devoted supporters to chew on...
During negotiations with the miners unions, it was put forward to the government that the strikes would stop and she could close the pits if the British Coal Board pension fund was liquidated and given out to the miners.
Bear in mind in the mid 80's this pension fund was worth billions and was one of the largest pension funds in the world at the time...if it happened virtually every miner would've became a millionaire overnight
Thatcher government refused as the pension fund and its investements made too much money for London to lose it....even though it rightfully belonged to the miners who payed into it over the decades
It all boils down to cold hard cash at the end of the day....nothing new there
I can buy better TV's from China at a fraction of the cost it would be to develop and manufacture it in the UK....does that make it right????
Haha. It's funny because you believe liquidating a multi-billion pound pension scheme would be a good idea.
Buy yes, you're right. It does all come down to money. If that course of action had been followed it would've been nothing short of disastrous.![]()
Why....because London based banks and bankers would've lost out and the men who dug the coal out of the ground would've RIGHTFULLY inherited it

Ironically that says more about yourself than me, as that's one of your arguments not mine.
Ive always maintained respect for the dead regardless of who they are.
Some great moments:
If you think the mines should have stayed open when they were costing this country a fortune you are a fool!
...Did you not post up something about dancing on her grave?
You know thats a celebration that someone has died right? (Not really respect) Unless you can come up with some other reason to dance on a grave.
Watched a movie the other day called gravedancers, where they read an incantation, got drunk and danced on graves, maybe your reason is a crazy voodoo incantation, rather than celebration. Which I suppose is fair enough
Forgot the one this morning
