I don't particularly agree with the notion it's never okay to celebrate someone's death but I really don't see the point with Thatcher. By the end she was a senile old woman who couldn't even remember who the current Prime Minister was; whatever you may think of what she did during her time in power, she was long since irrelevant. Her death means nothing, and changes nothing, except - of course - to the people who loved her.
Me, I'll be laughing at the sick jokes, hoping for a tasteless Costello re-release rocketing to number one and shaking my head at all the links to 'ding, dong, the witch is dead' that have appeared on my Facebook feed.

Why is Dimple getting shouted down for giving his own personal experience whereas anyone who gives an anecdote from their sisters brothers mums girlfriend who was a miner is instantly believed?

Even I know miners got paid a lot more than say, a farmer, for example. Obviously danger money, but a lot of people wanted to go and work down the mines.

In this instance its because his post really was mistruth, and petty spurious 'tales' of little significance, FGS grow up, in huge movements like this you will always get anomalies and localised disputes.
