Indeed! Especially when you get to the last mission for the main story line of Hugo Strange, get an entire view of the entire city from wonder tower, the snow and lighting (they way that it is done) really make it special and unique compared to every other game yet IMO!

Only con of this game so far is that you can't glide all the way from the top of wonder tower (the tallest point in the game, in the centre), as soon as you get to a certain point, batman pulls out his grapple gun to grapple back up

Would be so much better if they just let you glide all the way down at full speed!

With grapnel boost upgrade you can glide from 1 end of the city to the other without ever touching the ground & stay in the air for hours!

this sounds lots better then the 1st.is it worth £35 from steam? which i dont mind paying for batman

You can get it much cheaper from other download sites such as Origin and GetGames (Where I got it for £23.99)

So do you just endlessly 'click' in combat and win? Is that all you do? Bought this because everyone makes it sound so amazing, but I just click click click and right click and guys die.

Pretty much, but it looks cool and a little number at the top left goes up and up and up!

You have a lot of possible ways of utilising stealth or air-based attacks to take dudes down. (I personally love the boosted glide attack

)

You can do some pretty interesting varieties, such as using your gadgets in combat. Try the batclaw smash, or using quickfire explosive gel for example.

Also try using smoke pellets to disorient your opponents. All of these fit in with combos..

As you get later on in the game you'll be taught more moves such as the 'beatdown' and aerial attack. I dont know where you are at the moment.

Basically it can be as monotonous or interesting as you want it to be, that's the essence of what makes it fun. You can choose how you go about doing it

Had a good game on this last night, got as far as Mr Hammer.

Think I will wait for the DX11 patch for added graphical goodness.

Amazing game though and by Christ are some of the Riddler challenges difficult!

If you pay with paypal on eBay then its as safe as anything. All of ebays rules are biased towards buyers.

Game is fun, just defeated Ra's Al Ghul, ridiculous boss battle but i ploughed through it.

Story is the usual nonsense but it is still fun anyway.

I know, it's awesome isn't it!

The cape movements/ripples when gliding are damn nice as well! They really have improved every single apart of the game A LOT since AA!

But it would be nice if you were allowed to explore that little part in the centre within the massive walls for the Tyger guys instead of just cutting it of completely and not even letting you glide from their back into the main area of Arkham City.

As said about the combat, it is up to you how you play, when against the armed guys, it reminds me very much of this scene in Batman Begins:

And then combine the gadgets with fighting by quickly hitting "1" or whatever button to throw a batarang, use the bat claw to do a clothesline move on a guy etc.

And once you get further into the game, you start to face a range of guys, the normal ones, the ones with shields (can only use aerial attacks), the ones that can only be hit when you stun them and can make the combat quite a bit harder and not just button smashing, got to use everything to your advantage and time your moves etc.

Anyone else completed the main storyline yet, what did you think?

Completed the main story, all of the side missions and all of the riddler puzzles. I think it was an excellent story and had some nice twists to it.

There was something mentioned to me by someone (spoilers!!) that could tie into the next game, really hope it is what I think.

Been doing the riddler campaign challenges with catwoman and I must say they are quite fun, you have 3 rounds of either Stealth/Combat/Stealth or Combat/Stealth/Combat with each round granting upto 3 medals and you are only allowed to retry 3 times.

There are also some modifiers (start with low hp, regenerate hp, can't do silent takedowns on stealth missions/mobs don't have block indicators on combat missions and some others) that you have to select and use up by the end of the 3 rounds, you can use all 3 on the first round or use 1 on each but you have to use all 3 by the last round. Makes for some interesting games.

Also started the new game+ which has all the gadgets you unlocked from your first game, the mobs don't have block indicators and the groups of mobs have been changed (ie there is shield mobs and blocking mobs right from the start).

Struggling to get some of the riddle question marks myself here

I was not expecting that ending with the joker at all!
