Explosive gel has 3 charges and you can detonate them separately by zooming in to each one.

Yeah, what I put in the spoiler tags was about the trophies, indirectly.
The gadget is the freeze cluster grenade.

I already have that gadget. IIRC this is the one between the hacking device and the remote batarang.
I have them all except that one missing item, have completed around 58% so far.
There is two types of Freeze grenade.

It comes up as a side mission, Retrieve Freezes gear from the joker. Or something like that.

The only stuff that I have done with him is the main story part (including fighting him and once I beat him I got the normal freeze grenade), where I receive his weapon chip from the suit (which penguin locked up in one of his show case boxes) in order to stop penguin from using his freeze gun and finding freezes wife for him, which joker took and I went back to talk to Freeze once I found her and then I went back to where Nora was and he was there as well and again I talked to him, but he never give me the freeze cluster grenade

Also you know in penguins museum;
the fight area with the fences and barb-wire, where you encounter a ton of enemies and whoever kills batman gets a place in penguins group?
You know the way there is a riddle trophy behind the bars where the water is leaking through the vault door? How do you get that trophy (I know you have to hit the box with an electrified batarang), but I can't see any electricity fields near by, I think the fences may have been electrified when fighting the guys, but I think I disabled it pretty much after I finished the fight, so does that mean that I can't get that trophy now?

Just before you did the fight with the joker, Oracle will have told you that she located some of freezes gear that joker had stolen. It's in the steel mill.
You can turn that electrified fence back on again.

The Ra's al Ghul fight on new game+ is difficult. Hard to tell when mobs with swords are doing a knife-style attack (yellow block markers) or the normal attack (white block markers) without the block markers. Ended up blocking every attack like it was the knife-style attack, seemed to work out well in the end.
I have just played a bit more, just got to the steel mill and reached Joker, i'm not enjoying it really. I liked the first game but this just seems so tedious and dare i say boring.
I don't think the control system is anywhere near good enough for fighting lots of enemies tbh.

If you do some of the side missions like riddlers stuff and deadshots victims etc. whilst doing the story, I think that helps to keep it a bit different as opposed to just doing the main story line missions.
I think the control system is great for combat (using mouse and keyboard), however it does get a tad bit harder the combat near the end when you encounter groups of enemies that are armed with guns, shields, electric shock sticks etc. but having that prevents the good old "button bashing".
Honestly can't imagine what they could do differently for the combat system without it just becoming a typical super hero game where you just hit the same button over and over again.

Never tried playing with the keyboard + mouse, just with the 360 pad (it just seemed like the kind of game that should be played with a controller).
I do enjoy the combat system and having to use different abilities to defeat different opponents, however, when there are ridiculous amounts of enemies it does sometimes get a bit overwhelming. Best thing i found in these situations is to dodge about for a bit and try and put some space between you and the opponents whilst using your gadgets to help.

The game is excellent where it gives you an area to clear and you can go about it in a few different ways, taking down enemies as you go. However when you get mobbed by loads of enemies and have to take them all on with no chance to lose them/regroup i find it a bit of a chore tbh.

Game plays realy well, getting about 40-60 fps BUT the cutscenes are killing me 
, they go at 12 fps and are very jerky seems its a problem with the scaleform vids. Lots of complaints about it around the net, how they can release games in this state is beyond me
