Batman Arkham City - Thread

**** sake! Just lost my entire save from this for no sodding reason and I was 80% into the main story :|

My save games folder is empty -.-

Really annoyed now!

Oh, damn unlucky man! :(

I have completed 67% of my profile for everything (I think) and have been playing this for like 25 hours so far :o

Also, how many riddle challenges do I have to get in order to rescue the last hostage and confront riddler I think?

I have just defeated riddler, and I think I have ~375 out of 400? I've spent all weekend collecting trophies and doing the riddles.

I only had to use internet for 4or5 of them as I didn't have any idea of how to do a couple.

One where you have to jump on the switch from a height, the two death rooms in the subway, and a couple of riddles where I got to the location and spent ages trying to find it.

Ok, thanks, shall nip on for a quick game now and try to get that part done :)

Haha, same here, just been gliding from one to the next for the last few days! :D

Same again, used the internet for 4-6 today:

- The riddle, where does the madness begin
- The root of all evil for poison ivy riddle
- One of the riddle trophies on the far side in a secret sort of room, which you have to glide to, behind the steel mill, where the back door is

I also completed the watcher and the identity thief side missions today and the last encounter with the watcher gives some pretty damn amazing info about a possible sequel for the next game! :D

Just gave this a quick go and my god it runs awfull. It looks great just runs like its in slow mo... Is this the DX11 problem that should be patched ?

Yes this is the DX11 issue. I hear they have sorted it out in the next patch due out next week so if you dont want to wait i would change the settings down to DX9 runs smooth as silk then.

Where are the save files located for the steam version?

Just completed the riddler stuff, so that is me pretty much done with the campaign side of things, not got every riddle trophy etc. though.

Will now move onto the challenge stuff.

And, seriously the difference between DX 11 and DX 10/9 is nothing really, have to be up close and really look for the differences, in fact I would say that having physx enabled is better than the DX 11 stuff (you actually notice the physx things without having to really look for the differences), the game looks stunning on DX 10/9 and IMO for this game it is something, which really doesn't matter that much (graphics).

Also I love the little snow flakes when they land on you! Looks pretty damn realistic/good, could maybe do with a bit more landing on the you though! :D

I'm glad I have this on Steam, as the saves are on the Steamcloud.

The most noticeable thing when physx is turned on is Batmans cape, it looks amazing.

Still no patch lol. That leaked patch or w/e it was that does fix stuff was out ages ago now. Crazy, not that I care I have lots to do, but hell they are taking there time with this.

I'd imagine it's a case of wanting to 'get it right the first time'. Better to delay one patch than have to release another a month later :)
