kinda wish i knew about this game while it was 15 quid of alpha and ea, its 30 quid just for the fina release now :(. will wait till well into 2017, maybe EA when its out and its seems good enough.

Well I have been disappointed way too many times on the hype machine post proper COD. So they can have my money when I know its not rubbish.
 
i watched about ten minutes of stream i am like you ed. no money is coming from my pocket until i see it finished. these jokers blew the x3 the money they needed and still haven't done much.

they showed a video link in the chat LOL of some "new" footage.it was a static rifle LOL.they sat and just drank beer.

this is why i hate the unreal 4 engine. so easy for people to just take a idea and try and make it work often being garbage.hopefully this isnt but it isnt inspiring great confidence.

Thinking this game looks quite good, so it's early access May when do we think it will actually be released? Bought Next Car Game nearly 3 years ago in early access and that's still not released :/

I doubt it, as long as they focus on solid gunplay and map design. COD will still be COD and I expect it will include all the unnecessary kill streak rewards as previous titles. Lancaster bomber run @ 5 kills anyone? ;)
 
i just hope the animations and movement is as fluid as the game that inspires this title.cod2.

thats the only problem with many modern fps titles.they focus on the big bang audience and not the base gameplay mechanics which is what keeps a game alive long after the ohh its pretty wares off.

I understand that this game won't have killstreaks etc but I think you're missing the point.

Average gamer who just wants play a CoD style WW2 game are most likely going to get the new WW2 CoD game.

If there was no new WW2 CoD then there would have been a lot more sales for Battalion.

Which hopefully means the more mature players choose Battalion..
 
well the more mature players will also remember that the original cods were actually very good. it is weird when you think about it.cod 1 / united offence were actually 10x better than cod2.cod 2 was the launch title for the xbox 360 and where all the console fps gameplay came from.people who dont know on pc when cod 2 came out there was a shutdown of all the PC servers in protest due to how cod 2 had gone the easy route coming from the earlier two games.

this game is mainly modelled on cod2.the devs play it all the time and you can see the influence in the game.

there is a couple of ww2 games doing the cod styled games at the moment this and days of war. i think this may have the better chance of being the better game but we will have to see.

if they can get the maps well made.the animations slick and most importantly the hit reg good then it will be a big seller.if not it will be like many smaller fps games building hype only to end in the bargin bin.
 
I backed this and i'll just leave this here..

Seems they is groups of people out there that backed Battalion 1944 and didn't understand what this game was trying to be LOL am liking it
COD4 Pro Mod, Call of Duty 2, MOH, Enemy Territory The research was all there waiting for them before they backed Battalion 1944
Too say they expected different from Battalion is mind boggling! And since when does a game in Alpha Get shot down for Graphics? Lool
Graphics comes after the core gameplay! They showcasing the core gameplay here not Crysis 4
