*** Battlefield 1 ***

Battlefield vietnam was good, having the music from the choppers etc.

2142 was the best followed closely by 1942 IMO of course. I heard bad company 2 was supposed to be good but i didnt get to play that one much.

Never played 2142 as i honestly do not like the futuristic scene,Although this wouldn't be a bad idea..i wouldn't pay £45-60 for a re-skinned game so they would have to make it cheap.

It was set in the future but that was no pew pew lasers to speak of. I hate futuristic games in fact I hate games with lasers, spaceships, alien, mutants, games set in space. I love ww2 games and modern period.

The titan mode while buggy was very enjoyable for me. It had objectives, it had tactics. And the rush you got when you beaten the two long lane corridors with nade spamers and LMG's (basically support heaven). A lot of people might of found it slower paced comaped to normal conquest due to the initial capture/protect the silo.

When the shields dropped are you going to attack or defend as the enemy team will be thinking the same strat when your titan shields dropped.

Will you your team board the titan and try to take out the core or will you hold onto missile silos and take it out that way?

Which silos do you want the titan over to give fastest response times to hold/capture.

IIRC I didn't set foot on a conquest maps until like over 400+ hours of titan. I didn;t know how to play stuff like Camp G or the other maps as I only ever played titan. In fact most of my then guildmates if they wanted to talk to me had to come on titan as I would not leave it in case I lost my spot on the server. I use to play from mid day till 6am in the morning, I breathed it, I dreamt about it I loved it.

I would never pay 50-60 quid for a reskinned game but if it was 2142 reskinned I would make an exception. I spent over 2000+ hours on the game. In the last 10 years onlytwo other games have occupied me as much 2142 and they are company of heroes and league of legends.

The thing is, they tried to revive titan mode in BF4 Naval Strike, and it didn't really work compared to conquest.

If it is BF2143, it won't be the same as BF2142, and I fear it will be more like Naval Strike.

I liked titan mode and the naval strike maps but as usual, the AC130 ruined it completely for me, was even more of an issue as iirc, there were no jets and no aa and with the maps having no real cover, you were just cannon fodder for whoever had the ac130.

I don't remember you playing much of it, but I guess that might have been down to it being DLC only and the number of people who only bought the base game.

Titan mode in 2142 played so much better than the BF4 version, even with the lag that happened when titans got moved.

For me 2142 was the best BF game hands down and i only ever played it in Titan mode it was that good....each side had its strengths and weaknesses, each game was like conquest & rush at the same time it took many squads working together to do well in that mode, unlike BF3 & 4 where 1 good squad can win the game.

Many a night I remember playing 2142 with my mates, keeping an eye on the shields of the enemy titan, waiting for the right moment to pod jump onto the titan and make a quick break to the long corridor control units before the enemy team could set-up its defence, if you failed it turned into a blood bath.... 2142 Titan mode had it all, no BF game has even come close to it

Been with BF right since the Ground Floor (1942 and DC mods), Problem with the current versions is they are becoming too much like COD.

Strip back all the rubbish, stop making it too complex, slow the pace of the game back down again and give me the ability to captain a sub and sink ships.

If BF5 turns back to future war i will not be buying the game.

Something based between the time period 1940's and 1990's would be epic.

How dare you knock the funship :) I won many a friend on the battlefield with that thing. Funship needs a buff

No it was because you lot hated it and raged quited after a few rounds so it was back to good old vanilla again, one out, all out :p IIRC, the only map pack we ever had issues with was dragons teeth because some noob wouldn't buy it *cough* stulid *cough* :D

I think we would have sunk a ton of time into titan mode if they didn't have that ac130.

And on that topic, I hope they don't have anything like the ac130 again, ruins a lot of maps/games imo.

I really do hope DICE dial back on a lot of the useless noob weapons, vehicles & gadgets and make the maps more infy orientated with less vehicles. A lot of the bf 4 maps were awful for infy play imo and you felt pretty forced into having to use vehicles imo.

PFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFT to you and your noobship :p :D

Nex are you ok?

Asking for less vehicles?

haha, I think you better check my temperature :D

I am and always will be an infy player deep down, barely touched vehicles in bc 2 and bf 3. 3/4 of my time was spent on the CQ map DLC pack as the vehicle to infy balance in bf 3 was completely broken imo, more so in conquest.

If you check my posts in the bf 3 thread, you will see my constant moans about the vehicles and jet/heli whores like westie and Joe! :D

I do enjoy vehicle gameplay but on maps like lacang, there was just too many vehicles, likewise with zavod, each one could have done with 1 less LAV and zavod didn't need any AA's or little birds imo.

Yeah it hardly ever proved to be an issue really but it was just DICE's mentality of "zOMG got to add as much as possible to every map" :p

However the fact there is (imo) absolutely nothing what so every out there to play anymore I've decided I'm jumping on the hype train to disappointment.

You need to check out Squad. If you liked BF2/Project Reality this is your game. It's nothing like BF4.

Still excited about the next BF though - no reason why you can't play multiple games.

If there is the play from the toilet commander mode app then I hope they adressed the issues bf4 had otherwise I would be happy with the commander from BF2.

So who is going to be the first to visit Mexico? My bets on Mynight :p

I'll pre-order if it looks good. @Twirly - Fully agree RE playable commander. I would also like to see Squad leads as well with more than just way points.

I'll be pre-ordering, but the rage will be strong if it's ****!

I just hope the commander isn't as OP as in BFHL. If the commander can effectively provide wall hack abilities to their team then when one team has no commander it really unbalances things. The UAVs in BF4 aren't too bad, but in HL, there's all the cameras as well, so a good commander can keep most of the enemy team lit up all game.

Also they need to be careful what they do with VOIP in game. I don't want to listen to a 13 year old on the other team's pre-pubescent ranting.
