Also, does this game have an inbuilt fps counter? Noticed one in the top right hand corner of my monitor. And aside from afterburner im not running any other such program. Show's how long it's been since i gamed.

Yeah in BF4 you could turn it on from the console with PerfOverlay.DrawFPS 1 - seems to be on by default in the BF1 beta - not looked to see if its possible to change.

Ahh, cheers Rroff. Beta seems to run pretty well on my setup. Stock 5820k and gtx 980ti.

Really liking the Medic class. Less so the support, though certainly not a support map.

The M1916 for the medic is great.

Tempted to buy the game now if i'm honest.

yes you can turn off but when you die and spawn in again its back on.not great if recording. i supose you can alter cfg.so it stays off.

hopefully in the full game option is there to turn it off.

Up to rank 30 now. Been playing with a full squad of mates and we're all having a much better time of it now. We've all decided to order.

Despite all of the comments, and me not really playing any BF game since BF3, I reckon this will be a buy from me. Just having fun running around and playing really, can see this being even more fun in a full squad on TS or similar.

I'm in, pre-ordered.
It's not BF4, but it's a lot better than SWBF even with the glaring bugs at the moment.
It's fun too.

I really don't see how they think it will be a serious e-sports game though.

From this beta,and if other maps/gameplay are similar in the full game, this is about as far away they could have gone from a traditional BF game and still get away with using the Battlefield name. Just so much wrong and horrible about it.

It is, that's what i've been doing the last 2 days, full squad of mates on TS. Been a lot of fun. Some frustrating moments, it's not perfect but it's a lot of fun and hell even the map is starting to grow on me, a lot less sniper spam fests now.

No one thinks that

BF2 had a HUUUGE eSport community, BF3 also had a huge community although favouring towards 5v5 and BF4 had a tiny community compared to the previous one's, as all the good players realised the infantry play was awful straight away.

BF1 doesn't even have conquest small.....so

Any of the battlefield 'veterans' not buying this will not be missed due to to upscale of others who will buy it
Why would Dice care about a few hundred when millions of others are buying.

Also I find it amusing a lot are continually posting how bad it is and won't be buying

I don't get it. Say your thing(as everyone's opinion is valid), then get outa here. Why stay around?
I actually think they are far more disappointed about some aspects about the game so are just venting.

Yup, even when its just me and the missus running around together its great fun. It definitely isnt perfect there are issues I would like looked at (the positional audio thing being the biggest one for me) but nevertheless I am having more fun with the BF1 beta than I am with any of my other games currently.

I've now notched up 24 hours played in the beta , am level 44 and still laughing out loud at something in end round. That to me is a sign of good entertainment, which is all I ask.

I'm seeing less sniping going on and at the same time I am seeing more people starting to use cannons and the AT rocket gun, so I am wondering if there is a connection between the reduction of sniping and people getting the better weapons unlocked, thus making the other classes a viable option.

I still wont preorder, but thats on a principal of preorders rather than a comment on the game. It will be a release day purchase for me, however I will only buy the standard game, not premium, because I am perfectly content to wait for the expansions/DLC to be released and just buy them as and when, plus there is nothing else in the premium that I need.
