I'm finally giving in. Had BF3 pre-ordered from game since June, but just can't risk it not comin so I'm off round my mums to download from Origin.

Weird, I just tried to login to Origin and it wouldn't accept my password, I had to reset it. Anybody experienced the same?

I did exactly the same , had it on preorder for months then cancelled yesterday and downloaded it on origin,i couldnt risk the postman having a day off

Anyone else keep gettign unexpected errors with the download? say8ing to log out and restart the download again?

had the same issue manged to fix it by disabling antivirus and reinstalling origin

a guy earlier in the thread did...I am pretty sure he turned off his AV and reinstalled origin....then it worked

whenever i use GMG i get "error: too many redirects" :confused:

Think im going to take the risk, had it preordered from game since march and have read they are normally quite good at getting them out on time so its all down to royal mail

I prefer to have the box in my battlefield collection rather than a digital download (I know im sad).

With 1 5850, on metro at high settings with x8aa, I got 50-60 indoors and 40-50 outdoors - playing 1920x1080

I only got around 40-50 outdoors on my 6950 (unlocked to 6970) on High settings at 1920x1080, not sure if there was any MSAA on either.

I've been mulling over the same thing, and I'm relying on Game here as well. I just like having boxes of things. I've no problem with Steam because the games are normally dirt cheap, but paying an extra £10 for an Origin download seems silly to me. (Yes, I know there are business reasons for it, but "pre-download for an extra tenner" doesn't seem worth it to me).

If that's the case then it's possible the beta just didn't scale well with cards, much like the difference between a Q6600 and i5 2500k resulted in 1-2fps difference, but those were the fps results I was getting.

I had the same when paying with my card. I used paypal and it was fine.

I had it pre-ordered on amazon for £30 ish but my imaptience (and the fact I thought I would be playing the 25th and not the 28th) I canceled it and ordered it for £40 from origin. If vpn works then sweet but if not I just spent an exytra tenner
