I agree about the repairs, they do repair too quickly. Its also ridiculous how the transport chopper can be repaired mid flight lol.

With regards to this so called whoring, i dont know how you guys see it. If i spawn near the tank i get in it at the start of the map. If i dont i go on foot. The problem here is once you die in the tank youre favourite to get it again as it normally respawns the same time as you. Telling others to get out so they can use the tank instead is poor form though. I dont know anyone that does that.

seriously chap you and the others who just ride the tanks man

in 5 or 6 maps i was on the server you were in th tank this is just a example.

lets not make a saga out of it ffs. your not the only one and you arnt on foot majority of the time. are your scores on foot as high as with the tank ?

the cut and shut of it is - tank whoring gets you a higher score easier than on foot ! you or anyone else cant argue that . especially in hc mode. that is why it is done. simples . dont want to argue about it anymore and really not that bothered about it. i only suggested that people shouldnt tank whore as much not a do or die request .

I don't just ride tanks DG and i have the stats and battle reports to prove it.

I'm not trying to make a saga out of it, thought we were just having a discussion?

I can rack up as high scores on foot in metro or bazaar or seine, maybe i die more on these maps but isnt that to be expected with all the spam going around?

I don't think a tank in hardcore has it much easier to be honest dude, in softcore i can see exactly where they are thanks to spotting. If anything its easier in softcore mode. Not trying to argue DG btw just answering your posts. :)

Its good to see that we're going to close the book on this one....

The only thing i'll add about it is that I think you should have a battlefield 3 dance off, just to really put it to bed.

At least in hardcore if the repairer jumps out, he's easier to take down allowing you to tackle the tank better.

I think they could balance the whole tank structure by changing the cooldown timer on the repair unit.

That needs done pretty badly, it's ridiculous that it can fully repair a tank and more in one go, and only takes ~10 seconds before the cooldown wears off.

That said, Dice are too busy boosting high end hardware performance and breaking the game to fix real problems, so there's not much we can do but get used to it.

I agree it does repair too fast. Why they changed it from BC2 who knows.
 
Yea but when someone is always in the tank it means I can't drive it:/ overall stats don't prove much because 2 months ago you might not use much tanks but if some whores a lot lately then the stats won't be skewed.

I'll out it this way, when I lay at mines I can predict who's going to hit them.
 
Been off work with nurovirus the whole week, and only managed to get two games in! Such a waste..

Should be on tonight though, time to unlock that bleedin' L85 - any takers for SQDM?

No, you really don't. That's true for the single player game, but try running your CPU at 3ghz on a 64 man B2K map and then at 4.5ghz and tell me the difference isn't noticeable.
 
I really need to get on TS next time I join the server. Last couple of times I've found myself turning right when the squad turns left and suddenly I'm all alone being shot in the face.

Youre more than welcome mate. Always looking for good people to chat and play with on bf3. Its so hard to find people that have the discipline to stick and work with their squad for the whole match. If you have 3 other players doing that in your squad you are assured of a good score and k/d come the end of the round. A good medic on your squad will keep you in a positive k/d ratio all day long. :)
