Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I'm about to embark on unlocking every attachment for every gun. It's going to be difficult putting down my new found love, the KH2002 but I must persist.

In other news I've finally found an optic that I can use, I still don't like it over iron sights but I can at least use the kobra site so that will make the an94 and famas et least bearable.

But you're the one creating the storm in a tea cup then walking away when it spills on to the floor. If we look at the grand scheme of things Matt is probably breaking about even right now for his server. The actual odds of him making constant donations are minute. The only people that will constantly chip in are the regulars and he'll be lucky to break even over the period of a year. If you've done this many times then surely you'll remember that donations ALWAYS dry up. That's why you have sponsored match nights/ deagle 5 nights/ knife only nights. To raise money.

Matt will only profit if he actually takes the money out. Right now it's sitting there not gaining him any interest (gee thanks Paypal) and lets be realistic. He's not going to get a second wage out of this. For the amount of hours he's pumped into the server he'd be lucky to make a tenner for running it.

I urger Matt to ignore the last two pages and for everyone else to pipe down. This does not need to be discussed any further and no one needs to drop the OcUK tag over an off the cuff remark.

been doing this last two weeks :cool: sucks when you have crap guns to do but when you get guns you like :)

also you ll find a few nice suprise guns you might not off tried along the way.

i done all assalt a lot of the others and half of sniper class

Yeah there's loads of little gems like the 2002, M16A4, the AK74m which I've just finished was lovely. Pitty I've 800 MP7 kills cause that would have been fun. Really the only ones I'm not looking forward to are the shotguns.

As much as i`m a m320 hater the bottom line is everyone has a right to use what they want to in game.
I agree the most fun to be had is close quarters fire fights not launcher spam,but unless you ban their use its just not gonna happen.
Battlefield causes emotions to run high at times,but lets all play together and try to have fun.

man there were people bitching left and right on server :rolleyes: i was having a laugh didnt say one disrespectful thing and because on bazarr i pwned your team spamming m320 few rage quit :p

now im not being funny on bizar its not like it dont happen in b alley it happens every round on there . just like on metro.

then all you have to do is like is pre shoot middle with smaw or m320 and its 2-4 people kill. a lot do it and they do it every round so please dont try and single me out for this when its very common practice.

some were just camping exact same place then saying thanks dg ! well dont sit in the same room every time i fire. that is why you die !

its a pub server with all weapons allowed is it not ?

if you dont want m320s on disable or ban them from being used . thing is even the admins on that server do it and so do normal players.

its not like people are playing a league /ladder match its a fun mess about . so just chill and play.

was a bit odd though last few rounds the rage was building in some weird kind of hormonal inbalance

thought dzxe was team switching but i did see few times were it team balanced him . very odd

Is it possible to get tanks removed from Seine? I know I complain about tanks all the time but quite a few people have said tanks ruin Seine.

edit; also, why were the B2K maps removed from Matts server?
 
I got CommanderRoot'd tonight. Not sure if I should feel violated or pleased.

Also anyone think it's really quiet tonight? Hardly any of my friends on.

WRT B2K maps, we had them on our server Shameless plug and found it was pretty much a guaranteed server emptier. Either some didn't have it or didn't want to play so we removed them.

Tanks can be removed from Seine by making it infantry only so yeah, it can be done. not sure if the change to Inf only removes it from quick match though?
 
infantory only on certain maps would be a lot more better in conquest as tanks vehicles can quickly over power some maps.

seine is one like you mentioned.

tbh infantory only on all big maps would make for some interesting battles indeed

b2k less have them so less people to play than original maps. also they are not as good in my op.

Played inf only Caspian once. nothing happened for a clear 5 minutes and, TBH, it was boring as anything as you end up with half the team running snipers and it played like 'Capture the flag merry go round' between Hilltop, Forest and Checkpoint.

Anyone get very lost when the Conquest medium or small maps come around and they let 64 players loose? it's like 'Where's the flag?!?! for a few seconds!
 
Operation Firestorm has 4 tanks per team then Tunguska, LAV etc. They should make it 1 tank per team and keep the rest, same with every map, would make it much, much more enjoyable. Matt needs to play more maps now that the B2K ones are out, starting to get a bit repetitive (or maybe that's just because I play too much :D)
