I didn't hate it, just didn't have the time, or the pc capable of playing it smoothly

Wow cant belive the attitude of some of the people on here.
Why attack Matt, hes been paying for this out of his own pocket for a few months now and done a great job of running the server and didnt ask for a penny from anybody!
Now the site is up it was suggested to have a donation part to help ensure the life of this server, just think before if Matt decided he didnt want to pay anymore then we would all have to find new servers to play on.
One thing that seems to have skipped peoples minds is that this is new and the 1st time donation have been on his server people might feel they want to make a donation large or small donation to thank him for his previous work, its not to say he will recieve x amount of donations every single month some people may only donate one a year if they wanted.
Im sure any money donated will be put towards the running costs and not 'pocketed'.
Nobody is forcing anybody to donate if you want to do if you dont then dont.
Simple!
One thing thing good out of this scenario is you get a better idea of some people true colours.

Edit- while i remeber just to add, the goal amount was always visable nothing was hidden

It would be better if you just played through maps in a certain order rather than putting it to a vote. That way you wouldn't play 1 map 10 times and another map once.

In other news my ****ing pc is just not playing ball. Can't be arsed with the ****ing thing now, I'll take it to the local pc shop 2mz so they can diagnose the ******* then get some new bits and bobs while I RMA the ****ed parts......ahh man I hate it when it all goes tats up!

Was soooo looking forward to getting back online with matt and the boys, looks like it'll be another week at the mo.

you really havent got a clue have you :rolleyes:

1. nobody is forcing you to donate = true but donations should be to cover the cost of the service for the comunity and not to profit from something you have not built (overclockers ) yes overclockers has made the server popular without it it wouldnt of been busy. debate this if you like . were was the server pimped ? this very forum until busy ;) who frequents the server regular ? ocuk members ;)

2. true colours = rather false statement seeing as i helped matt quite a bit to get his server streaming to pbbans and made a section on my website just so he could stream :rolleyes:
 
bf3 reserved slots will come when they sorted the servers out . that was from a ea quite a while ago.

this would help out many servers :cool:

1. 'Should be', in your personal view.

There are lots of servers listed on ocuk none of the others are as popular.

Would I care if ltmatt makes a surplus on one month and spends that 20 at the oub ? No, as previously stated lltmatt server has gone unfunded for a few months anyway so he's probably owed a few. Also will he still be getting the same amount of donations 12 months from now? Probably not.

My take is that some people may have a different server and see it that if ltmatt gets the.money there won't be anything left for their server. ..

In the meanwhile does anyone knows what happen to smogsy? He hadn't been online in 3 weeks and the server permanently empty.

ballistix have you looked above :p there are many servers that are as popular or not on here ;) not all use ocuk in name. they are still used by us all and regarded as the same.

matts is 395th in world



cT = 268 in world

Wow dg i think it is you that has no clue, however i am not going to get into a personal arguement on a open forum, message me if you feel the need.
Do you not have any idea how donation systems work? Whilst it would be lovely to recieve exactly 40quid amonth to cover costs this is unlikly to happen and will fluctuate eitherside of the goal amount.
How are the donations not for the running costs? Have proof hes spent it on other stuff?
As matt and richie pointed out 35 quid of richies donation was for some ram.
I dont see anyproblem at all.
