I agree, they also need to slow down the speed at which you can repair tanks, as well as all other vehicles.

Yup, the engineers can repair way too quick, im pretty sure a single engineer can repair a tank from about 10% to 100% with no cool down on the repair tool interrupting the repair.
 
Said that earlier, the missiles need to be faster so that they actually hit their targets and can't be evaded just by pulling tight turns.

Combine that with a flare reload time of 10 second and stingers that often take nearly that long to lock on, the ground units are completely powerless to take out a skilled jet pilot, even if they gang up on him.
 
I'd also consider removing the gunners ability to deploy counter measures for the helicopters, the pilot with ECM and a gunner with flares is practically impossible to counter.

The solution to that one is Javelin + SOFLAM or the CITV station + guided shells in the tank.

Works every time

What will suck *** however, is if they remove this in the next patch like one of the rumours said they were doing ..

He can which is pointless, should be like BC2.

I managed to grab a damaged tank at 1% and went to repair and I got to around 95% before I had to wait for it to recharge!

Thing is though the majority of recon don't use SOFLAM, although this seems to be improving and depends on the servers you use which is great.

I know what your getting at with the SOFLAM and CITV but whats the point in even having the stinger in the game if it's practically useless against what it's designed to take out.
 
4 cans of Red Bull ;) I think the server is set to normal rather than large.. I'll have to check.

Admiral. If youre running a 16 player server i would suggest you use Conquest small. :)

I think it was the visits that did it, 4:30am isn't the best time for serenading Rooty with tales of wanton lust and longing :eek:

I think they want the pump action shotguns not to be one hit kill.

Its pretty hilarious that the M26 buckshot is a one hit kill up close. Theres just nothing the enemy can do about it unless they grenade you / RPG you / use an m320.

At that range, it outshoots every weapon in the game, which i agree is a bit much. They should at least have a chance to kill you.





We've had this discussion before and you've obviously never come up against a decent squad who all pile in the IFV and keep it alive.

On maps like wake island, and kharg island where there is lots of open spaces, the IFV can just drive around killing everybody at will. Its all very well you all being medics, but none of you can revie each other if all 4 of you die. Equally there are 4 squads in squad death match. If the other two squads are busy throwing themselves at the IFV and getting slaughtered by it, it doesn't matter how many medics you have in your squad if they keep giving that squad easy kils.

It would be alright if there was two teams, but with there being 4, its the other two squads apart from yours and the IVF squad you have to take account of.

Actually, I did, and we won. 5 times. In a row. :D
 
Best way to get the assignment tbh. Sqdm in this all boils down to who gets the armored vehicle. It'd be a lot more fun if infantry only. On bc2, a lot of servers i played on with friends, had the ifv present, but no one used it. So as to keep it as infantry only.

I disagree. The pump actions are fine as they are, deadly up close, but pretty impotent at any sort of range or against a group of players. That's exactly how it should be. There is plenty you can do to take them out; they might be powerful when you're 50 feet or less away, but they have small magazine capacities, slow reload times, and of course, a slow rate of fire. I think you're really overstating how powerful they are.

If the servers were full of people storming around with the M26/870MCS then you might have a point, but they aren't (unless its different on the 360). I rarely see anyone with a pump action shotgun because they are only effective in a limited number of situations. Everyone chooses the semi/auto shotguns instead, if they go for a shotgun at all. I love the 870 personally, and can do pretty well with it but only if I think about what I'm doing: going up against a group of players or shooting at anyone further than 50 feet, and it's pointless. And on maps other than Metro, Seine and Bazaar, they are pretty much absolutely useless.

It really is not a problem to counter one, and if they make them less powerful in the only arena where they are currently effective, then I can only see even fewer people using them :(
