What's far more hilarious was the pub frag video that got posted here a week or so ago of the guy using the cleverly designed aimbot.

DICE posted it up on te BF3 Facebook page, and when faced with 1000s of comments all pretty much agreeing he was hacking, thanked the community for their "feedback and support" rotfl. They don't have a chuffing clue

I disagree. The pump actions are fine as they are,...

It really is not a problem to counter one, and if they make them less powerful in the only arena where they are currently effective, then I can only see even fewer people using them :(

I suppose like everything in battlefield everything that has a strength, it has an opposite weakness, paper scissors rock style gameplay.

And the people whoring the shotguns all whore the uses with frag rounds. There's no problem with people whoring the pump action shotguns at all

I can see DICEs angle, but lie you say, maybe it's countering a problem nobody really cares about..... So why bother

Got a link to the video? :)

Just froze again on Operation Firestorm towards the end of the map. I downloaded the new drivers today I wonder is it anything to do with that
Had the screen loading bug last night after a round on tehran highway. Just updated gpu drivers prior to starting the round. First time ive had that bug.

The EX MOD on battlelog has posted a vid claiming it shows he does not cheat, well you can hide your onscreen cheats these days and he has previous bans for cheating in other games, I still call hax. Is it possible to average 100+ kills a round and a one or two deaths without cheats and as infantry.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfJ95HKI6uk&hd=1

the other short vids he has posted look more dodgy to be honest. i can't even see what he's shooting it's happening so fast.

Why? 30 feet really isn't all that far. That's only 10 metres. I can spit further than that, I'd expect a shotgun to be lethal that close :p

It kind of annoys me that of all the game play mechanics that people complain about, they are changing the one that A) Doesn't need changing and B) I've never once heard anyone make a single gripe about.

But aty the same time id expect most bullets to kill you from 10 metres as well. but thats not how the game works. if it was a dead on headshot then it would be okay, but just 1 crunch and your dead? seems totally wrong to me.

Maybe its just exascerbated in HC mode i dunno..

Support people, drop freakin' ammo! Jesus Christ, it's your job!

This really annoys me, especially as i use a LOT of ammo... i ask for ammo, they dont give and run off. thats fine but when you get shot in 10 seconds and i cant help you out ebcause you didnt give me any ammo, well thats your fault.

Sometimes i feel like just Tk-ing them anyway.

The thing is there's even icons above people's heads when they ask for ammo / health pack / repair etc and people still don't do it! Such retards!

The non supply of ammo gets on my nerves as well. So often ive had to resort to picking up dead guys weapons. All because no one will take time to resupply.

I used to do that on cod all the time. But on BF because everything is further away generally and people have weapons that i usually dont like to use i dont like it. If i am quick i wait for the ammo guy to die, steal his weapon, drop supplies and then pick up my old kit again. But it doesnt always work out.

Id wager that 20-25% of my deaths come from having to run out of any cover to try and find ammo/ get to a supply thing dropped in the middle of a road. then i wish i just not bothered anyway.

That's where a functioning commo-rose comes in, no need to look at noobs to request ammo, simply request it, a voice prompt is heard by players nearby and it is also shown in the chat and on mini map, even the biggest noob couldn't notice this.

Well, if it helps, just think of it as several projectiles hitting you at once...that's basically all buckshot is :p

Also with any other weapon you are going to be able to put several rounds down in quick succession. The 870 doesn't get that opportunity, so in the interests of game play I think it's fair enough that if you're close enough, you can get a kill with one decent hit.

The thing is, if you remove the ability of the pump actions to kill instantly, you pretty much make them completely obsolete. There would be no point in choosing them over the semi or fully automatic shotguns. I choose them still because although I know I will have to sacrifice speed, range and capacity, I will have a weapon absolutely deadly at very close range, and I can choose to make my engagements accordingly.

Ive often had to resort to that as well, or if a medic on my squad dies, ill grab his kit, revive him and dish out med packs. But like you say, it's pretty difficult if your squad/team mates arent close by.

Exactly, the most gross ommission from the game. Surely it cant be that hard to implement something so simple. Yet so blindingly obviously required.

I really want this developed. Same for requesting a pickup....if you look at a vehicle and request a pickup, the driver should get a big flashing message on their screen telling them someone wants a lift. And if the driver offers someone a lift, they should get a similar prompt letting them know where the vehicle is.

I know the minimap icons flash but sometimes that's not blatant enough, especially not to someone who's just jumped in the drivers seat and is only thinking about getting to the fight.

For me if they do not include the message in the chat then it's not the proper rose as seen in BF2, anything requested in BF2 I would first see in the chat and then check map and surrounding area for those needing help. It's very easy to miss requests via the mini map with it being so small and well pathetic when compared to maps as seen in BC2 and BF2, having a request for a pick up shown in chat would prompt most of us to check the map out for those needing assistance. Of course the chat itself needs better optimized and better implemented.

Well as someone who plays support, there's nothing more annoying than players asking for ammo and running off. You chase them, they stop, you drop ammo and they just run off again... You catch up again, they finally notice you but you now have to wait in order to drop another pack so get abuse. Not frustrating at all!?! :D

I`d wager 20-25% of my deaths come from ballist1x tk`s on seine crossing. :D
