Bought 2nd copy, can i use my own files on another machine

I just purchased another copy of bf3 for another pc. Is it possible to copy the files from my own install to an external hdd and use them on the 2nd rig. This would save me one almighty download on my pretty poor broadband connection.

Yes, i did something similiar setter. Try this mate.

1. Backup Origin Games Folder
2. Install origin on new hard drive.
3. Place origin games folder into Origin games folder on your new pc.
4. start origin and select start download/install game.
5. It should then find your game and the % bar will fill up fairly quickly without downloading.

Yep, i recently re-installed windows on my ssd. I kept bf3 on my sdd (naturally its bf3 :D) and when it came to the reinstall i just cut and paste the origin games folder (i had fifa 2012 on there as well digital download) into my second drive. Then once windows was installed just cut and paste it back after reinstalling origin on the ssd. :)
 
Yep, bf3 and bc2 on ssd as well, (only games on it). Keep my other origin games and steam on a 2nd drive. Gotta love ssd's, but the capacitys are a bit low. 30gb free here on a 120gb ocz vertex 2e.

Oh nice. Wish i had 120gig. ;)

You cant beat an ssd with bf3. Those loading times. I get in with 20+ seconds left on the clock. Means i get first dibs on that tank/chopper. (maybe thats why im a tank whore :D)

I have an Intel 320 80gig. I had around 20 gig left when i did the reformat.

After installing windows, all updates and essentials plus bf3 +fifa 2012 i have 40 gig left. Was pretty chuffed with that. :p
 
Load times are great, 20+ secs here as well. Trade off though is that my trigger finger gets itchy in that time. Flip side is that those 20 seconds are the longest i stay alive for in game.:D

Well..1 was a bit silly but the others werent all my faul, you do get some nasty crossfire on that map and you just happened to be in the middle of them. Important sure i killed a good few bad guys too.

Yep, seine crossing, that map has more fiendly fire incidents than going to war alongside the yanks.:D

So… this is what we’re going to do… as a community. We’re going to give Electronic Arts until Friday, March 2nd to announce the next major patch and the fixes that they have made, or are currently making. SOME acknowledgement of the outcry about the issues that is currently wrong with the game right now, today… Or we’re going to black out the entire battlefield community for 1 day, 24 hours, no playing, no posting, and no tweeting. Silence fed right back into the mouths of those who have chosen to give us the very same silence. We’ll be waiting for you to give us our community back EA, and put it in the very capable hands of the people who developed, and made the game.

True, but I doubt it will even register as a blip on the EA and Dice radar. Truly a suggestion from someone with delusions of grandeur thinking he has some form of power when he has precisely zero.

Yeah i agree. I just cant help but feel if everyone actually did it, it might actually do some good.
 
I wish people did do it and it did make a difference. We would start getting notes on the upcoming patches and what's being fixed etc, a greater say into what is top priority on the fix list and more info about future DLC's. Probably won't happen though :(
 
Need recommendations on a server for SQDM to unlock the LA85. Fewest kills possible please! I've already done it but this is for my housemate. I've seen 15 kill win servers but can't seem to find any lol. 50 kills being the absolute tops we could go to tbh seen as I have to help him do it.
