Here we go, let's see what happens. I'll try to edit this post with highlights.
Demize on suppression
- Suppression didn't really play a role in combat pre-patch
- Some users say suppression should be more effective
- Seems to think it's too much right now
- Playtested suppression 3 months prior to release (lolwat)
- Happy with the radius passing bullets suppress the player (I disagree)
- Wants to reduce the time between suppression and accuracy back to normal level
- Deviation unchanged, but you reach that level quicker than you did pre-patch
Demize seems to acknowledge it's too high, but after all that play-testing I don't understand why the change made it in the patch.
Demize on frequent PC patches
- Talks about keeping the experience the same
- Some other stuff that doesn't make sense
- Doesn't want patch releases platform specific
It sounded like he was avoiding the question. We still don't have a solid answer as to why they can't release frequent updates on PC. Main excuses seem to be favouritism, same experience on all platforms etc etc.
Demize on best part of the patch
- Attachment changes adds more depth
One thing you would want added if you had unlimited time?
- Battlerecorder
- In-house implementation un-usable by players
- Wanted by dev team
- DICE committed to releasing "quality" products
Demize on tanks
- RPG strength hasn't changed
- Lot's of changes "accidental knock-ons"
- "DLC reflects amount of support game will receive"
- According to his testing RPG's still do the same amount of damage they did before the patch (this misses the fact that tank now have to deal with a higher ttk in tank battles, improved jav effectiveness and low repair speed)
Kertz seems to think that announcing three DLC's is a good indicator of how much DICE intend to support the game. I disagree. We had to wait three months for this patch and not only did it mess up game balance, it introduced a bunch of bugs. You say you play test, but I find that very hard to believe.
Demize on update
- Very proud
