Hit reg in bfbc2 is way ahead of bf3 for me. To score a hit on someone in bf3, most times i have to aim behind them as i see them on screen. At least in bfbc2, you can lead the target, (ie shoot in front of them as theyre moving).

Its still a very popular game, probably because it works.

Bf3 is the new thing, meant to look better with the frostbite 2 engine, to me it looks cluttered, moh 2010 is the best looking dice game of recent times.

Hmm.

I always have to properly LEAD targets to hit them and have no problems doing so.

I lead depending on their distance and speed as I see it and get hits as a result.

I have never had to aim behind someone?

I ping about 25ms to servers but not sure if ping makes any real difference?

Also, the Magnum .44 seems to have become even more useless after this patch. Seriously, why? The vast majority of players are too retarded to even use that pistol because it actually requires you to aim unlike 99% of the junk in this game.

I found the .44 better and use it exclusively as my sidearm.

I tried it early on in BF3s life and the damage was too paltry. Since the buff I have found it very very effective.

Unfortunately in bf3, i have to aim behind people to get a kill. The game uses client side detection, which is a joke tbh. Bfbc2 did have a few issues, but now it's a pretty stable game. Moh 2010, hit reg is perfect, but the game had limited appeal multiplayer wise.

I wish patches would just leave the dam guns as they are. A patch should only address performance issues and glitches. Messing about with the guns is just one huge popularity contest.

Actually seeing that supression video, I think it's probably because I'm getting supressed and not hitting anythign with the .44, rather than gun itself. Before on close encounters, 9/10 times I'd take them out, but since this patch, it's pretty much 1/10, it is that bad, I just get a hail bullets at me and can't hit a damn thing, even though my sights are dead on target.

Doesn't make it any less infuriating though!

As much as I love BC 2 and prefer the game over BF 3 (although bored of BC 2 now), the hit reg for BC 2 was much much worse for me! Sooooooooo many times the knife never worked and then there have been plenty of times were I have fired bullets (especially when sniping with the M24 etc. and even more when using the VSS) into some ones head with a m60 etc. and you see the blood, hear the sound and the hit doesn't reg (I noticed though, that there was never a problem with hit reg. when using a pistol [people actually died quicker when using my M9 than an assault gun etc. :p] compared to the automatic assault rifles etc.) Also had a lot of problems with rockets not reg. a hit on tanks

I haven't had too many issues with hit reg in BF 3, but have noticed ever since this new patch, there has been a fair bit more, but that could just be down to the way suppression works now :p

Yup, i was shot through solid walls, tbh im fed up with the cheating in this game.

He looks legit to me, he could just be a very good player, although these BL reports look a tiny bit suspicious, but can't be 100% sure since it is for metro:

You could stand half the distance with a sniper rifle aimed solidly at the head and suppression will see your bullet leave the barrel at some crazy 30 degree angle. FPS games already diminished the skill curve in recent years when they started toning down recoil to none existent levels, but I guess that wasn't enough, so now actively punishing people who can aim / react is the only way to help your low skilled playerbase :(

Disagree, I think that recoil is more prominent on BF3 than other BF games.

Suppression is a bit overkill though, at first I thought that it was hit-detection but I later realised that it's mainly because of suppression being a bit too much.

Speaking of which! :p Is there any way I can make the colours a bit more vibrant and colourful? :p Currently using the FXAA injector V1.3 beta performance.

There is a v1.4 out and beta DX10 v1.5, also I think u can edit the files yourself.

This morning on Matts server, playing as US we managed to take the ticket hall from the RU team. Then we pushed out of the ticket hall into the cafe area, the best part of the map. Then the server switched to Seine and we played that. Then everyone voted Metro back on. Wtf.

Really can't understand this either, remove mapvote tbh.

The suppression needs some serious toning down.

Feel as if I'm playing the game in black and white these days.

Yet more dumbing down for the people that cant aim.
I cant remember another game where you get points for missing things.

The latest patch gets a massive thumbs up from me.

The game feels a lot more fast paced and action based, a la the good times I had on BFBC2.

The game before the patch I didnt enjoy, now its a joy to play.
