I might be confusing technical issues, but I really cant understand why ur ping is so high on a 6meg line :confused:. Upload speed should surely be at least 10% of download, so perhaps that could be causing issues?

I'm sure u have reset the router a hundred times, but try returning it to default and checking the router's admin settings for anything unusual, as it seems like you are getting the speed from the phone line but it isnt making its way down the ethernet cable to your PC! Or perhaps reconfigure the network on your PC, download LAN drivers, etc. Baffled by this one.

Also check what pingtest.net gives you.

Grade F: Slower than 91% of UK cant be right unless u live in a pond at the very tip of Scotland!!

Edit: If you switch wired connection ports on the router between your two PCs do u still get the same results? Could an old ethernet cable be to blame?
 
Reset router to default settings, and admin settings all look good. Also tried the cable in all four ports on the router, same problem. Currently downloading lan drivers, (gonna take a while lol). And ordered a new 10m ethernet cable, current one has a few tiny kinks in it so best to try a new one. At this rate, im thinking of installing the wireless dongle that came with my mobo.:D

Guys have they changed the AEK? I'm finding it really difficult to get long range shots now and in most 1 on 1s the enemy seems to do more damage...
 
I bought this yesterday after another OcUK member sent me a discount code, I've only played for around 3 hours and I'm already ****ed off at the amount of retards online. I wanted this mainly for the team work but I haven't encountered any so far. I keep getting put into teams where people are just sitting in the spawn waiting for a helicopter, or they're just manning the AA guns in our spawn when the fighting is miles away. Either that, or I get people playing as Recon sat in the hills doing absolutely nothing productive while I single handedly try and take objectives and inevitably end up getting my ass handed to me over and over because I have no support. :mad: :(

Also the starting weapons for the Support class are all beyond terrible, when do I unlock something a little more manageable? I'm finding the RPK and the M27 to be a real handful when it comes to recoil.

Havent used the AEK in a while, but the M16A3 which i use a lot has been nerfed a bit. Used to use it with a x6 scope and it made for a pretty decent long range weapon. Still a great gun at close - medium range though. Iirc when the M16 was nerfed, the similair M416 got a bit off a buff.
 
That ******* love metro server is awesome when its full

and 64 rush is a no go for me, I prefer small games 32 or less :p
 
Due to the lack of in game voip, you really need to be on teamspeak or similair with friends to get any level of teamwork.

Finally think ive got to the bottom of the issue mate. Seems it was caused by a peice of software contained within asus ai suite 2, (network i control). Turned it off and now getting full speed from the line.
