Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

I've got a strange problem on BF3, when I'm moving my character seems to lean or strafe to the side all the time (left hand side) not massively just enough that I have to compensate for the movement whilst aiming. Not a major issue but its something I dont experience in any other fps I play.
Any ideas why?
 
We have a few new servers.. not configured correctly yet but should be sorted by tomoz









Our old servers will be closing in the next few days so if someone could remove them from this thread :)

pleased you've got it sorted.

I have a 2.5 meg connection and apart from v slow downloads I don't see any downsides ingame. even hitreg is usually ok

Thanks jobe, currently running on a laptop mechanical drive, my vertex 2e is away for rma. Ive been offered an agility 3 as a replacement, but ill likely sell it on and buy something a bit better.

Connection wise, im with bt, supposedly upto 8mb, rarely get near 3mb. Hit reg in bf3 is a lot worse than bfbc2, though it was poor to start with. Gotta practice a bit more in bf3 though, this break over the last few weeks has left me a bit rusty.:)
 
Does anyone use MotionInJoy to control the Heli's and Planes with a PS3 controller? If they do, any chance some kind sole would share their in-game config setup please? Having issues figuring it all out.
 
I'm going to have a go online with the multiplayer this weekend.

Which game type would be best for someone who has little idea what they're doing? Any particular servers that are more tolerant of noobs?

CQ247, SaS, ER's are all actively admin communities. I help run cq247 and we are noob friendly....or rather if you fly my heli blindly at the enemy AA, I will shout at my monitor and slam my mouse on my desk. But I won't call you names and will try and help you improve with handy tips.

Plus you better jump on our servers! I really wanna knife Fozzybear!!!

Tip #1, Do what Westie does. He so pro and we so jelly :)

I do, but I can't fly planes only choppers. Could provide screenies tonight possibly :)

I had a go on one of the cq247 servers earlier. The only positive being that I had the lowest ping. Apart from that it was a disaster. My reactions are shot to bits! :p

Which multiplayer mode would you recommend? I want a map that has large open spaces and isn't completely hectic.

It's a shame that there's no offline bot option for people like me to be able to practise. I seem to remember BF2 having the option.
