i have benchmarked it at every known configuration to man with min,avg and max. x4 mssa and all rest to high you are going under 60 fps on a 7850 and that's with a lot faster cpu that yours.

do a fraps 1 min run not on metro ;) then come back with your min max and avg. good day sir :D

Seen a lot of your posts on BF3 and the problems you've been having.

Have you just changed some hardware?

That's if graphics don't mean anything to you, as i'm guessing it doesn't for you.

Not everyone does crap with graphics turned up.

My ssd started to fail a while back, finally gave up the ghost last weekend. Was causing quite a few crashes/freezes in game. The majority of my other issues are largely connection based. 2mb adsl doesnt cut it in this game.

Never believed this myself till I tried it, everything on lowest/off bar mesh on Ultra and my scores improved greatly, I would even go as far as to agree with Linus when he says AA adds input lag.
 
For those that run with lowest settings, do you cap the frame rate or use v-sync etc. Can imagine there'd be some crazy high framerates and a lot of tearing without v-sync.
 
Yep, heard of this in many fps games, such as quake, the ut series etc. Any time i had to run low was because i had gpu's that werent capable of any more.:D
 
most run low for engine exploits (q3 engine for eg) though for strafing and such but frostbite doesn't really offer much advantage to doing this.

can spot people easier though with lower settings .
 
I currently run it on ultra, x4msaa, post aa off, 16xaf, HBAO on and motion blur off, 1920x1200. Runs at about 70fps average, pretty high oc on the gpu. Will try a blast with everything but mesh knocked down.
 
Running the game on high and I do fine. I can understand that some people would be sad enough to spend £500+ on a PC to run games at low detail but they may as well buy a Xbox. Surely point for most of us is to buy all this expensive gear to be bale to turn the eye candy UP and still get 60FPS?
 
Just got the base game for free off ea, are the dlc needed, if so which packs, might get one or two at £6 each.
