Battlefield 3 thread - Server details in opening post -

This is the most glitchy game I've ever come across. Does it not like 7970's? Either red screens, drivers having to be recovered, random crashes. Jeez.
 
Dice making broken pretty games since forever :D

they never fix games they move onto the next game to release and break more and more with each patch. awaits bf4 rage and exact same things happening :p
 
Soflamming is a bit meh isn't it. There will be a Tank capping a flag yet soflem wants to lock onto an empty jeep that's next to it or the empty missile launcher.
 
Avoid essex rifles rush server, absolutely terrible, probably the worse server I have ever come across. Teams stacked so all high ranks on one team and low ranks on the other + base raping (the attackers), needless to say pathetic....... :rolleyes: No joke 9 games out of 10 are all like that.

Had to laugh as well, I was on the "stacked" side and then died and had a pretty low score so for "balancing" purposes, they moved me to the other side due to "low score and you just died", hmmmmm, so lets put the lower scoring players onto the losing side, great thinking there......
 
personally i prefer to be on the losing side in those type of games so more often than not i switch myself if my team is just owning the others.

I find nothing more boring than being on a team that is constantly holding all points/miles ahead in tickets etc.

Being on the team thats struggling and then performing well gives me a much better sense of satisfaction than sitting on a team which has the enemy pinned down for the duration of the map.
 
If I wanted to start playing this now, what would you guys recommend to get. Standard edition(£15) or the Premium with all the expansions, etc(£35)? Will I be missing out on much if I just get the Standard game? Edit: Also is Origin the only/best place to get this?
 
You can buy the disc retail but you need to link it with origin. If you can find it cheaper on disc then thats probably the best idea. You get a whole lot of content in the premium version, I am not sure though you will get moneys worth between now and BF4 coming out. I imagen BF3 will die off as soon as BF4 releases so you are talking about 10 weeks worth :/
 
TBH I wouldn't bother buying this game now as from my experience, the choice of servers left are just terrible, don't know about the other expansion packs i.e. armoured kill and end game, but for aftermath, there are very little near full/full servers and that is suppose to be the "best map pack"...... Better and more choice of B2k and CQ servers :o

And especially since BF 4 will be out soon enough with the beta in September iirc.

On that note about servers, either firefox and chrome are useless with battlelog or battlelog is completely and utterly broken, probably the latter........ but sometimes when I just hit refresh refresh, a few servers will show up that weren't there before :confused: Same server settings too and the "free players" option is completely un ticked so even full servers etc. should be showing. IIRC a friends clan were and still are having this problem with battlelog i.e. their server not being shown half the time, even when they have about 10 guys on, it still doesn't full...... They had no problems with their BC 2 server as that was in the top 100 and for a while in the top 30, even near the end of BC 2's life.

Personally I don't like being on either side when a game is like that, I want to have a good fun close game, not a landslide easy win and not getting completely destroyed especially to the point where base rape happens......

When a clan/admins do that (stack teams), it just shows how crap they really are! :D

What I would say is don[t listen to Nexus or others, all they do is moan about the game in here yet the keep playing and moaning about it here.

If you get it now, don't get it through origin. Greenmangaming is one place, cjskeys is another place to look. I saw the full BF3 + premium for £19 the other day on Cjs-keys.

Unless you really know your FPS games, I suggest checking out levelcaps and rivalxfactors youtube channel for basic tips. You will be surprised how much three is to learn.

That said, if you learn it now, you too can be a beast at BF4 when it comes out. Oh and there are still many great servers out there. Timeless, Old Guy Gaming, RCO servers and others.
 
Even better advice, don't listen to the fanboys that love to bend over for dice/ea (says it all when they have thousands of hours put into the game, defend a game on an internet forum [even when the majority of players, including the fans of the franchise agree], throw money at them.....) and especially the players that play like noobs and throw a hissy fit when they get kicked/banned from a server/community ;)

You mean flying correctly, helping the team by taking out tanks, keeping the enemy ari down without baserape and pushing forward to a more attacking position to help Infantry then yeah. Quick tip for those "Heli pro's" on here (LOL) if you fire the gun single shots rather than holding left trigger it is laser accurate.

I don't know why people get so mad at Heli's, grab a jet and shoot it down, simple.

Oh and Miss, we have since had an apology from that Fummelbank servers head admin for his admin abusing his powers.
 
Some of the Admins need to sort themselves out a bit too...although for the most part most are pretty OK , But the worst one being Br4ugott.....an awful admin...i was just playing about 20 minutes ago ( Bander Desert )and every time I took down hes/her heli or blew hes/her tank up...also the round before that too!!...I kept getting kicked from the game "Kicked By Admin" ..that cant be right can it ?


You can report Admins ?
