http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf...O-PARTY-BUMS-Beginner-friendly-learn-to-play/

my clans server (www.rsobb.co.uk)

We are usually on at the normal hours of the evening and the server is pretty full most of the evening too.

The only rules are no bunnyhopping, and no baserape. oh and if people start to get abusive they get kicked too :)

Oh hey eggcup, love your server. One of my favs, get some great Heli teams and jet pilots in there. Very challenging but still friendly to noobs, nice.

edit......As Inf tho, I am a constant bunnyhopper, it's part of the game :/

Not that I play Inf on your server but still :D

Bunnyhopping came from CS way back when, you could use it to go build up speed.

Essentially you could get to the T side of Dust for example, as the T's were running down the slope. It was a very grey art for a while and eventually was classed as an exploit and eventually the physics ( I think ) were changed and it was impossible to do anymore.

I realise your question was probably in Jest, but some might not know.

In Battlefield, it's just stupid. People jumping about when someone shoots at them. It's not realistic at all. :P

It doesn't exist in BF3 - it's a term banded around by bads who don't know what it means as an excuse for not being able to aim... also, what part of BF3 is realistic exactly? as apparently jumping in the air is letting down the otherwise perfect military simulation?

i don't understand why game makes don't design that kind of thing out of the game. even some of the people who bunnyhop don't like it.
seems reasonable to make bunnyhopping kill your forward speed like it would do in real life.

It does... try jumping a bunch of times in a row.. infact try jumping once and shooting -- in BC2 it worked and was mandatory for CQB as it didn't affect your aim, they nerfed it out of BF3, it is now literally a last ditch I'm out of ammo / reloading jump and hope the other person is ****.

I was referring to jumping up and down.

Also, sarcasm is totally lost on you.

Bunny Hopping doesn't do naff all in BF3.

By the way..

kunoichia feel free to let Matt know i've still not seen this PBBan I was supposedly getting a few weeks after speaking to his 'contact' on their site.

My favorite line from Matt's conversation was "I guess i'll just ban him anyway, but it would help having a reason to do so" or something along those lines.

Had a bit of a giggle reading all the replies to my personal cheating thread in the staff room too :)

Guess I may see you lot in BF4 too? Hopefully not.

There was never any evidence, it was Nick at Pbban talking absolute rubbish. Jam, you are a great player and a great guy, I for one would like to apologise for having to go with the majority even tho I didn't believe it.

Oh and how were you looking at the staff room lol?

Apology accepted. Had great fun playing with you guys, just a shame some people couldn't accept the fact it was a game and instead preferred to throw their toys out their pram. Still at least your precious servers are well populated :)

By the looks of things it was mostly Matt and Jimlad anyway who seem'd to have a bee under their bonnet. Always used to enjoy seeing how long it would take Matt to disconnect when I joined the server ;)

I had my sources. Was actually quite surprising how many messages I got from the staff members asking why was I banned and that they didn't agree with it afterwards, etc. Sadly don't think I kept the logs of what was said in the staff room, made for entertaining reading. (remember Metro steps Matt?) However I decided to keep quiet to not cause too much of an issue.

Yo jam0r we have a ban appeals forum sub section if you want to come and appeal :)

Don't go crying all over the internet like a little girl some 12months later ....
