BC2 has cost me 4p per hour played, I think that's worth it.

No doubt I'll play BF3 loads too

Does anyone know whether the accounts created for use in the beta will be carried over to the full release? It looks like I'm going to be on holiday courtesy of Lizzy when this is released

I should have internet access, just figuring it might be a little difficult and I would really like to get my "real" alias as a username

I suspect usernames will be carried across like they were in BFBC2.

From the twitter feed it says that the beta will start in october and game released in november.

We could implement it, but the questions is “how do you get the threshold lower?” That’s not by making it more complicated. Our challenge is to make sure that anyone that just jumps into the game will get it. One of the biggest problems with Commander was that only two people could use it. Some people like it but most people didn’t care.

Makes perfect sense from the console perspective, but even though I didn't enjoy playing as commander in previous games, I thought it was great that someone took on the role and it'll be a shame that it'll be missing.

It is, I never played commander in BF2 but liked it being there and the direction it gave the team as your squad were set various objectives by a decent commander.

This IMO is just dumming down, the could impliment it for the PC version and not the console surely?

Just hope the squad size is higher than 4!

I agree, dumming down. I loved playing commander and also receiving squad orders from the commander.
