Battlefield 4 - Performance FIXES Thread (Good or Bad)

That other thread just seems to have people intent on arguing about semantics and you said this and I said that styled bickering.

Agreed it's also just a benchmark thread

I agree with you also regarding

CPU:
GPU:
RAM:
OS:
Drivers:

and what problems you are having, IF you are having them. Also Updating OP now

I got a free SSD drive I use as a cache, If it sucks, doesn't do anything I just format it and go back to Windows 7. Saves dual booting and keeps windows 7 handy :D

Running fine for me, Ultra, 4x MSAA, resolution slider at 100.

CPU: i5 3570k @ 4.4GHz
GPU: GTX 660 OC.
RAM: 8 GB.
OS: Windows 8 64bit
Drivers: Latest Beta drivers, also ran fine in the latest non-beta drivers.
Monitor: 20" 1600x900.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!

BATTLEFIELD 4 is SUPER SUPER smooth on Windows 8, Ive just tested it myself and it's like a completely new game.

Windows 7 IS the cause.

Oh and I have Windows 8 looking like Windows 7 with Start Button :D

Good to know but that's pretty lame! It's like they've purposely downgraded the performance in Win7...As this is EA and MS I'm calling shenanigans!

I've 'sourced' a copy of windows 8, can I just upgrade windows 7 without having to re-install all my junk?

CPU: i7 3930k @ 3.8Ghz
GPU: 670gtx 2gb
RAM: 16GB
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Drivers: Latest Beta drivers
Monitor: 24" 1920x1080

Getting 45-105 fps with ultra textures and high every thing else cpu usage around 35-45% no msaa just high post aa

Mine runs super smooth on full ultra EXCEPT when being rocket pounded by a helicopter... it slows down to maybe 1-2 FPS which makes running away very hard!

Anyone had an issue where when a round ends, the screen just go's black and doesnt load the next round? Updated pb manually but still no joy. Also, sometimes i have no audio in game.

Cpu almost fully maxed out 94-96% average

Frame rate 28-35FPS average :(

Lol at the huge spikes!!

Either the beta is not optimised efficiently or the game is very cpu demanding, may possibly require more than 4 threads to run smoothly.

Total ram usage more than 4GB!! Never happened before

Your PC pretty much matches mine, while my FPS jumps around 15-40 FPS while the average is 20. There is a lot of games out there where 20+ FPS is smooth for me but in BF4 it's jerky, vehicle usage kinda warps you along sometimes.

To sum it up, the game runs like crap. I had no problems with BFBC2 and BF3 on Ultra at 5760x1080 and in BF4 am running at almost half of that resolution.

The game takes forever to load too on SSD.

Drivers 320.49
1920 x1080 resolution

Doesnt run very well, CPU usage more or less pegged at 100%, GPU usage hovers around 60 - 70 %.
Getting 50 - 60 fps on all low settings, dropping down to 30 odd fps when lots is happening on screen, also getting random stutters and warping around. Tried the latest Beta driver and its much worse for me.
