2xaa will be grand i suspect. I can currently run bf3 maxed with x4 msaa but tbh, it can look a bit cluttered on certain maps with all settings this high.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
You might be ok with 2xAA, its on the limit. Probably best to wait and see. I think 4xAA will be out of the question though.
I'm on 1920x1200 - lovely IPS Dell monitor! I keep thinking of going to 1440p though.
Well that is me screwed... was about to order a GTX 670 2GB.. Slight spanner in the works.. I want it as ultra with AA running on 1080p...

Lol, you dont have a ****ing clue whether 4xAA is out of the question.

Did i touch a nerve Jono?
Not scare tactics, just presenting benchmarks and recommended requirements, then forming opinions based on those. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

There we are...
Can anyone advise on these? I heard ASUS are not what they used to be and never heard of the other 2...
cheers
Flew off the handle there...
No, i was just wondering how you can even begin to think that 4xaa will be unplayable on a 2gb card for a game that hasnt come out yet.
Out of interest, would you say playing Battlefield 3 on a 2gb acrd at 5760 x 1080 on a single 2gb card because of vram limitations?
Didn't those benchmarks also come with appropriate frame rates? All showing unplayable at those settings...
Also if i remember correctly, the 2GB670s/680s were inline with 7950/7970s framerates even though your VRAM usages show 2GB being too little.
Tbh, for quite a long time in bf3 i had to settle for less aa as when the game came out i only had gtx 470's in sli. As they were only 1.2gb ram cards, any level of aa was a killer. Ive skimped on settings before, ill be happy enough to do so again. Besides, ill need some reason to upgrade again, might as well be bf4.Exactly.
Don't everyone freak out about 2gb not being enough. 2gb will be fine I'm sure. Too many scare tactics on the forums here at OCUK.
.
Your second question makes no sense sorry.
The game had no performance optimizations or driver enhancements, dice said as much.
Vram is not something driver performance is going to lower. Considering a lot of the textures were missing i doubt very much vram usage is going to magically decrease.
If the vram usage was suddenly going to be the same as Battlefield 3 the recommended requirements would not have jumped up to 3gb vram and 8gb system ram.
