So i signed up for a month with Origin access to grab Battlefield V and spent a few hours on it yesterday. Was fairly excited to see some RTX content first hand to be honest.
I can confirm to be the same as all the rest with the performance side, getting roughly 50/60 fps with a range of settings from low to high at 1440p. Only played single player.
The game itself is absolutely beautiful, with or without RTX. Getting well over 100fps @ 4k Ultra with HDR and no RTX and a playable frame rate at 1440p with RTX enabled.
This is by far the best looking game i have seen for a long time and feel the RTX adds an element of immersion i have never experienced before.
I would also like to point out that i am well aware of being an early subscriber to the RTX craze and wasn't expecting it to be a polished machine but more of a testing phase i guess. We all/some are happy to pay for early access on steam to be disappointed or blown away with what we have purchased but ultimately we are a generation of beta testers for these companies to iron out the creases, although this is slightly more expensive than a Steam purchase but the premise is the same. Weather you agree with my analogy is open for debate but i am a middle aged man with a wife and 2 kids who earns enough cash to support them and his PC gaming habit that i am comfortable with my decisions.
If RTX falls flat, at least i can say i was along for the ride and had my own opinion, i still have a 2080ti that eats 4k for breakfast with or without RTX......
