Battlestar Galactica (now containing quite minor spoilers)

Just got to the bit in season 2 where the pegasus shows up, bloody wife wanted to sleep when to be continued came up!

Anyway the webisodes is there anywhere legal I can watch these? I don't do all that torrent stuff but have read on google that they were never released here. Any other way of seeing them?

It's split our house, I say this is the best sci if tv I've seen, the mrs still prefers sg1.

not the best quality, but since you don't want to download them...

At least you are both starting from sane and logical points.

The most vivid memory I have of BSG was the drums beating whenever stuff was about to go down. Love the OST for that show.

Thanks :)

My Mrs got a bit angry last night in the concluding part of the pegasus story, when they go to town with the soap on Helo and the chief, I had to say calm down dear it's only tv :D

I was gutted, I really want Helo to bite dust. The whole she's carrying my baby stuff is getting on my bits as much as the girl the Dr sees and no one mentions him acting like a mime artists.

I've never enjoyed a program so much while hating so many of the characters, Starbuck, Helo, blonde vision women, Gaius, Saul and his doubly irritating wife (please die painfully).

They haven't even mentioned searching the ships for the black guy who was a doctor for Starbuck on Caprica?

The list on the first page of the order to watch it wrong surely?

I was following that list and finished season 3. So by the list I loaded up Razor. That doesn't sit between season 3 and 4 at all :(

It's set 3/4's of the way through season 2, it's rewinded me to when the chick with the wart is still Admiral of Pegasus!

Yet when I check google for order to watch just about everywhere has it down as Razor after season 3????

BTW I'm halfway though so if it jumps to later ignore my post :D

As you've probably found out by now, it touches on events related to the end of Season 3 that would be quite spoilery if watched any earlier.

Ah thanks just about to watch the 2nd half. I like how it fills in the gossip and hear say on warty women. The bit with the xo was awesome!

Watched the finale the other night. Was great on Blu-ray as there was the option to watch the final two episodes (Daybreak) as one single episode with some extra scenes. Epic doesn't come close, what a great series.

Bit sad it's over now as I'd been taken my time watching it, though I do still have The Plan to get through.

The best thing about BSG is that it's one of the few SciFi shows these days that KNEW when it was going off the air so had an ending written for it.

Farscape was supposed to get a 5th series but it was cancelled, Stargate Atlantis was due to get TV movies but MGM pulled out, Stargate Universe wasn't told that they were going off the air until all the episodes had finished filming, Firefly got canned after 15 eps were filmed etc etc.

I have no issue with a show ending, they all have to eventually. But what annoys me and loads of others more than anything is when you get no ending! It's like someone gave you the first 6 Harry Potter books and didn't let you read the 7th!

That's just one more reason why I like BSG, there was a finale, it ended. Some hated it, others loved it but it was there all the same.

I really should watch my BluRay box set. Love that damned show.

I'm about 10 episodes into season 4 now and I'm feeling a bit flat after the previous seasons. Does it get better?

They have just got to earth and at the end of the episode the 5th cylon was revealed.

Two questions that are bugging me, do they explain how this person passed the cylon test in the first series?

Also

The president, do they even explain why they haven't just used the childs blood again to cure her cancer?

^ Both myself and my wife have been sat there wondering if we missed something because they never even discussed it?

Most of series 4 has felt like filler and few of the episodes have gripped me :(

How did which person pass the Ceylon test? As far as I can remember they never finished the Ceylon tests before Baltar became a looney toon.

I would imagine they don't reuse it because it has failed the first time (with her falling ill again so why bother?

I thought season 4 was amazing and the final season even better, everything starts happening faster and faster leading toward the (IMO) great ending.

Danny my word it gets better (and more depressing). 'Historically' season four was split into two when it aired, so you get two story arcs which is why it might seem like it's dragging. The last episode of the first arc (Revelations, episode 12) could have been the last episode as the WGA strike hit and Sci-Fi almost canned the series.

Regarding your questions:

On the Cylon test, remember everyone passed because Baltar was enthralled by Number Six. Boomer also passed! An no, the President not using the Deux Ex Machina cure is glossed over :(

Regarding Roslin

I'd always assumed that when Roslin had the Cylon baby's blood it cured her cancer permamnently when it happened. But, when her cancer resurfaced it proved that the Cylon blood had lost it's immunity/regenerative properties/whatever so there would be no more point using it again.

The first half of the 4th series was rather bland in my opinion. The first major event of the second half made up for it though.

Last i heard, Blood and Chrome is not proceeding.

Gutted. Really. I saw a teaser of the last battle of the first Cylon war, showed a Battlestar breaking up over a planet and Adama being shot down and fighting it own with one of the original Cylon centurions. Awesome. Real shame it won't be made.

That wasn't a teaser for Blood and Chrome. That was part of BSG: Razor.

Ah thanks guys for clearing that up :)
Tha last one I watched last night was finding the crashed Viper on earth. Hopefully it will pick up from now.

I have to say the choice for the final 5 was somewhat disappointing.

I will definitely buy this box set on blue ray when I eventually get a player. It's quite good because as i'm watching this at home with my wife I started watching it at work with the guys from work. So I'm on series 4 at home and the end of 2 at work. Watching it over allows me to spot so much more :)

That's the episode when a certain character dies? If so that was one of my favourite episodes. If that's the one you're up to, to be honest the next episode is boring filler. The two after that are a pretty epic two parter, then the remaining episodes are a run up to the finale.

I quite liked the final five, especially one of them who I would never, ever have guessed who it was!
