Bayonetta

Im not a huge hack n slash fan but this does look interesting. Edge magazines comments are intriguing and it got a 9/10 on Eurogamer - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/bayonetta-import-review

Note - I have both consoles and prefer the PS3, but I have both for this very reason :p

Although - watching the video comparison myself I cant really see any huge issue that couldnt be fixed with a bit of contrast fiddling :D So I dont think PS3 only owners should despair!

Japanese gaming publication Famitsu awarded the Xbox 360 version of Bayonetta a perfect 40 out of 40. The PlayStation 3 version was given a slightly lower 38 out of 40.

As stated previously, i'll be getting this on the 360. In a game like this framerate drops (which is what the PS3 suffers from) are something i'd rather avoid.
 
PS3 version suffers from even worse textures and the biggest downer is major framerate drops, hence the lower score it recieved and for a fast paced twitch game like this, it is a huge deal breaker.

I can understand why this game is getting quite decent reviews though. It is quite a big evolution in the Devil May Cry/Ninja Gaiden-style over-the-top game. I thought the modern Ninja Gaiden games controlled exceptionally well, but Bayonetta seriously takes it to a new level. The ridiculously responsive controls and insane combat mechanics is what this game is truely about.

The Eurogamer review practically sums this game up perfectly in one line,

"In Bayonetta, meanwhile, you press a button and your television implodes."
 
Unless Platinum Games/SEGA decides to do a Capcom and re-release a Special Edition/Director's Cut edition in like a year or so that fixes these problems then all is good. ;)

I would so love to see a PC version of this, especially if it was to have a "Turbo Mode" option, the game will just be ludicrously insane! :D
 
I just played the 360 demo and it really surprised me.

I'm not a big fan of DMC but this was different, some of the weapons and moves are crazy.. loved it.. A pity the demo was so short though but can't wait to get this now.

Hopefully they will be sorting out any problems on the PS3 version before US release. Shame for JP consumers who have already bought the game but hopefully by the time it reaches UK it will be as good as 360 version!

Not a chance, as this game was designed completely around the 360's hardware. They would have to rebuild the game from scratch (like NG2) for it to run anywhere near the 360 version. The best the PS3 can hope for is better loading times which are terrible :(
 
Not too sure what happened, but I was like learning moves and stuff then suddenly I was on a falling rock with lots of other things and had guns on my feet and fire and big monsters and developed epilepsy and was on a train with big boobs.

Then I fought this big thing which appeared to have a baby's face. I mashed some buttons and my hair turned in to a big monster and bit the bad monster in half as it was 350 gigaton and then I was nude because my hair is also my clothing and then my hair went and my clothing returned.

It was made by the same guy that made devil may cry 1 so there is your "it looks like a dmc copy" out the window.
This game is amazing in every aspect, graphics gameplay longevity depth.

I think the demo is on Xbox live now. So hopefully someone here can give a comparison on how noticable the different console differences are as someone said the demos are representative of how the final japanese versions run.

Day1 or close to day1 for me on this, can't get enough of cutting things to bits.
